Well I was enthralled by When I Said Goodbye in colour! It’s beautiful!
Things like this just make me so upset with the Spice Girls team. This must be so rewarding for long time Steps fans.
This is obviously also a bit of a passion project of the editor but the fact we're getting all of these while the era is technically over and there isn't even anything left to promote really is quite special.
(Would buy a DVD with all of it in a Heartbeat though)
Absolutely. Fascination are probably getting this with very little output costs - and if I had an expertise in editing and video technology, I would absolutely be doing it FOC too (in my own time)...
It would be lush to have full run throughs of the dance performances a-la loves got a hold on my heart as nice cute additional extras, I mean we've seen the performances dozens of times, but seeing them in the video costumes/scenes is something else. I love Loves got a hold anyway, so any additional output they gave us I would have lapped up.
Wouldn't be HD then though? Better best download them from YouTube, put them on a USB stick, plug into TV.
Well yeah that's true, and it's not like I ever really play my music DVDs anyway, but it's nice to have
Well I do take it back.
That was stunning in colour, absolutely gorgeous.
And while we're so used to seeing it in black and white. It did not feel strange one bit to see it in colour. It felt natural.
And with a bit of extra padding at the beginning, love it.
I prefer this colour version
What a visual feast! Stunning stunning stunning!
Out of all the remastered projects, this one hits me the most. It feels like you're opening a pandora box or being whisked away with a time machine - going back in time to March 2000, and experiencing it all over again seeing the video for the first time. De Javu much?
Had it been on the Platinum Collection They could have used the colour footage with the Steve Anderson mix and popped it online in the same way they did for One For Sorrow.
Would be lovely with his version.
Here's the full performance of You'll Be Sorry on TOTP!
They cut the intro and second verse/chorus from the original broadcast, but they showed the whole thing later on TOTP Plus.
Might give that a go myself then
Not seen this before
They really weren't the best mimers were they.
Wow. After 22 years that has really elevated the song for me. It looks stunning in colour.
What The Future Holds DVD & Bluray just arrived at my doorstep and I just finished watching the entire show and the documentary.
My Top 6:
- Something In Your Eyes
- After The Love Has Gone
- Take Me For A Ride
- Scared Of The Dark
- Better The Devil You Know/Vogue
- Chain Reaction
I am very pleased with how the entire filming and editing have turned out, despite the fact Lee was completely and visibly missing from the stage. And I'm so proud of the fact that they didn't look distressed during the O2 night - were completely composed. What a PRO!
What I'm gutted about?
The fact that it's just probably the hardcore fans who know how hard they worked for this particular tour and how much they sacrificed. Most people and the industry would never watch this documentary and FOR ONCE, acknowledge how great they are.
I reveiced the A5 book this week and it’s a beauty. Each song from the setlist has got its own page with pictures. The book is therefore thicker that I thought.
The show itself is very well edited and while it’s sometimes weird to see Lee appear from nowhere or disappear like a magician, it’s a very enjoyable watch.
It’s funny how he’s the one introducing Heartbeat with Claire but not being on stage to sing it afterwards.
You think, I thought they where the best in the business at miming and I’m not saying that as sarcasm but I actually think they ‘had it down to a T’ miming as they did so much of it. I look back at old footage and think if you didn’t know that was the record you’d never know!
