Steps

I would imagine for many it's a main source of income (and even if its not it helps keep the profile up as in its Faye from Steps, opposed to its Faye that used to be in Steps 5 years ago) so popping up every few years is still most probably on the agenda.

But with Fayes mum, Lees child etc they most probably want a bit of time at home.

Yesterdays gig was a strange one. It was great but it did feel a bit “final” dare I say it. There were a lot of hugs and a few tears. Big thank you speeches (like longer than usual and Claire did a full speech thanking a full list of people)
Lee “that’s it for 2022 see you in the future”
Lsl “it’s not over yet”
Claire “last show for a while”
“We don’t know what the future holds but here’s a song about it”
Lsl was really giving it 300% more so than ever! I do think we’ve got a longer break than we had last time and I think it’ll be a 30th anniversary farewell tour before we hear from them again.

This sounds pretty similar to how they all were on last night of the Party on the Dancefloor tour though.

I’m so pleased we had them back at all, and the last 5 years have been a blast!

I’d imagine Claire would do another solo round, I loved her first album.

In terms of the group, we might see them in a couple of years, an album or two of new material and then go out with a bang for 30 years. Demos, Steve Anderson versions and songs we’ve never even heard about from H’s old CDRs from his memory boxes.

She/Her
I know people keep asking for demos and unreleased tracks, but I’m not sure they’re necessary just for the sake of them. If they’re good tracks sure, but I feel like if they were ‘gold’ so to speak, they would have seen the light of day at some point by now.

Yeah, and Claire has said before they weren't sat around PWL recording demos. For most of the time by the time they were recording, the tracks had been selected for the albums and most of the stuff recorded was released.

They only started demoing when they got involved with songwriting around Buzz... so there's probably not much past the couple of track names we've learnt over the years.

It’s not difficult:

• Continue releasing the HD videos
• As each single turns 25 do what The Sats did and release a digital repackage featuring its bside, remixes and a Steve 25 Mix
• As each album turns 25 release them on vinyl

• Could also do a GA style singles set which I know a lot of us have asked for
• And also release a physical copy of all of Steve’s mixes a little later down the line

I love this idea!

This seems like a possibility

It's a shame we didn't get a one off platinum show to celebrate 25 years as neither of the 2 songs have been performed live as far as I know, I remember Claire mentioning in the tour programme she would love to have done a one off show on the Royal Albert Hall, that would have made a great dvd release
