Stock, Aitken & Waterman

Yes, on a brief look I can only find 4 SAW singles in a top ten at any one time during 89? and it was around that period with Jason, Donna, Reynolds Girls, Bananarama etc

Looking at their discography, only early 88 compares but again I can only see 3 top tens simultaneously and even then that’s stretching it to include their involvement in the Jackson 5 remix!

Yep - as I said earlier, definitely being creative chronologically like Sinitta. I mean, if you go by Sinitta's stage age from not too long ago, she was performing on the programme "The Tube" with that predator Leee John from Imagination when she was 13. As if.

Have I missed something about Leee John?

Sinitta’s mum is apparently 77.

What was the censored Kylie ‘what do I have to do’ music video that they mentioned in the captions on the greatest hits show last night after the documentary? Where can you find the censored version that was played on Saturday kids tv?

Fact check time again: what week in chart history had the most SAW singles in the top 10 (not being snide, I'd genuinely like to know the answer) and what songs were they?

Had a quick scan at 1988 and 1989.

Wc 19th March 1989, they had 4 in the top 10 and that continued for 3 or 4 weeks.

Wc 4th June 1989, also 4 in the top 10.

Worth noting that wc 3rd September they overtook the top 5 with 3 songs featuring.

Their dominance over those 2 years was insane.

Never heard of a censored version. Are they getting confused with the TOTP performance that was never shown because she wore a CND logo during the Iraq war?
Not sure, it just said something along the lines of the video was too racy for Saturday morning kids tv at the time and they played a censored version instead when the video was on kids tv. What’s CND by the way, never heard that story?

The peace logo was developed in the UK as the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND)

On the back of the SAW documentary I revisited a remix I created last summer - an upbeat take on Beyond Your Wildest Dreams by the divine Lonnie Gordon. I completely created the backing track from scratch and to my surprise Lonnie herself liked it so much she may use it at future live shows. Stock Aitken Waterman get so much flack but this is a great song that deserves its chance to shine. Enjoy!
