Succession

Ken is amassing too much power, and is too smart to lose, but his win will be the total loss of his humanity. I mean, he went full Michael Corleone this week, alienating his children, surging when Roman fell and then putting Roman in his place at the end, hiring his father’s security, bringing Hugo in as a confidant. The truth is what it’s always been - Ken is the only one who really knows business, but his father was an overwhelming force and no one else could flourish in his presence.

Siobhan is Ewan, and ultimately, she won’t have the stomach to take all the power. She’s comfortable and is actually quite good at being next to the most powerful person in the room, but she can’t wield it herself. In 20 years she’ll send her child to work for Ken, and we’ll finally get a fifth season.

The way I will sleep beautifully knowing Roman humiliated himself in front of the world’s elite and will never run anything but a metaphorical lemonade stand ever again
Oh he’s a dick but man alive, I felt awful for him in that moment. Not just his grief but the utter humiliation.

Also, why is nobody talking about the ICONIC pregnant reveal.

“Well…yes…hmm….umm….ok, we’ll talk”. I heard about a thousand words of silent dialogue from that.

I’ve got this feeling the last episode is going to be a board meeting. Nothing else. Ken and Roman thinking they’re going to take the crown, Shiv thinking she’s going to undermine them and finally win when IN FACT Carl, Frank and Gerry are going to vote them all out and take control and the series ends with the siblings all utterly lost.

They're all such bad people it’s amazing that Roman’s fucked himself over by showing some real emotion for the first time ever in front of the capitalist elite.

They’re all broken and like Ewan said, Logan wrought the most terrible things. He’s ruined all of his kids and (as a Murdoch stand-in) much of the world. A fitting tribute to him.

Yeah ultimately I think the point is that Kendall will fully morph into Logan at the expense of his humanity and whatever relationship he has left with his kids, his speech about money being the lifeblood of the world was chilling. I'm not sure how it will all shake out business wise (I kind of subscribe to Menken getting in bed with Matsson with Greg as puppet CEO and all the kids getting screwed) but Succession is the tragedy of Kendall.

Shiv should go nuclear and press the “Kendall killed someone” button
Wait but does she even know? Wasn't it just Logan and he covered up everything? I think the only way Shiv will score any wins is if Jimenez actually wins the lection officially but damn she looked so good at the funeral.

He told the other two before Logan fucked them over in the S3 finale, in this scene:

I know I'm just repeating myself from last week, but I'm genuinely feeling upset about the show ending now. I had made my peace with it before the season started, but I didn't realize the can of worms they were going to open by killing off Logan. There is so much left to cover and I can't believe it's going to be over next week. Pre-grieving right now, as one might say.

In any case, I hope @cleggar's theory is the final outcome, with the Old Guard taking control. I don't even want to entertain the idea of Greg somehow ending up the US CEO even it's for shits and giggles. I hate him.
