Haha, it definitely isn't something many of us are here for.
It's part of the ballet score he wrote recently and will be releasing on 18th October. The performer is pianist Timo Andres. I don't think Sufjan has any role in the music other than writing it (and possibly producing this upcoming recording of it).
More from the ballet score - just in case there is someone here for it:
ffff girls I am here for this shit so I'll probably be buying that deluxe vinyl.
Sufjan kissing Rufus is doing things to me
Be still my closeted high school heart
God I love this, Sufjan covering Aunt Joni.
Sufjan posted this on his website last night.
His stepfather, Lowell commented on a Facebook article suggesting new music saying “Tomorrow”
The new album, a collaboration with his stepfather, will be out on 27th March
"An instrumental new age album" where the bops at sis?
Spare vocal track, sir?
Listening to The Unlimited, all I'm doing is imagining Sufjan's vocals over the top. I think the contrast would work very well, even if it was more ethereal ad-libs.
Is this really going to be an instrumental set?
He’s created a playlist that inspired the album which includes songs from the ‘Under The Skin’ and ‘Hereditary’ soundtrack.
