Sugababes - 2023 Touring / Festivals (Europe + Australia)

I can't recall the times back when but they seem to be extremely well booked over the summer and I can imagine they could even do more. I feel they haven't been known as a touring act at all and them building a name for themselves in the way they do now is perfect. Bookers will notice that there's is a band playing sets overloaded with hits and a high crowd satisfaction. So just with that and it leading to more bookings hey should be able to earn some good coin.

Also what a smart move playing Milk and most likely having the good press and the word of mouth to easily sell tickets for two headline shows a bit later

According to Setlist the last 2 years are shaping up to be Sugababes most active ever as a live act (I think only Change eta was busier with their longer theatre tour after the Overloaded arenas).

No sharing with labels/Crown either!

It’s definitely been interesting to see an act that was dismissed for being a ‘girl/pop band’ getting their Flowers as legit talent now.

I know jealousy is not a nice thing but if I'm being honest sometimes I'm really a little jealous of them, I can't be the only one who fantasizes from time to time, waking up and being a Sugababe myself haha sad I know but they live a really good & sweet life at the moment.

Love that they're coming to my hometown, actually amending my trip to the O2 show for it. Judging by the price tag (50EUR), I think it's not a full blown tour but more instigated because Paradiso is also a driving force behind Milkshake and they were able to blag them for 2 dates. Which could explain why it's so expensive as the girls are still independent and need to cover costs for all the transport etc.

35 isn't even what Nina Nesbit or acts like that charge outside the UK, they are an english act, with a full band, 3 members... 50 is fine.

I don’t think it’s about it being expensive for the general market, but that the venue doesn’t have as many shows for that price. Not even post covid.

It just shows that maybe they’re not sacrificing their earnings for exposure. I love that for them. The live band definitely plays a part on the price too.

So great to see them so booked throughout the summer with performance slots. Makes sense for them to steadily build up their base as a touring act and then maybe launch a brand new record in the next year or so. All those years in the dark over the legal ownership of their name and frankly awful tarnishing of their legacy as one of the best UK acts ever feels so long ago. It's like they're combining a reintroduction, course correction and reminder that Sugababes are THOSE girls all at the same time.

I think this is why I cannot help but stan these girls harder now than I did previously. I’m rooting so hard for them to succeed not just because of their talent, but because they genuinely deserve it after all their work.

Now we just need the girls to get their butts on a flight to America and come perform for us 10 fans here.
