Today needs a dark video like Run for Cover. It literally says dark in the first line. “Here I go again in my darkest hour” (on Venice Beach)???
You do know it doesn’t literally need to be in the dark right? Like, “the darkest hour” doesn’t mean it’s 3AM outside.

But anyways, I was mostly thinking about the final section of the song when I wrote that ddd.

So pleased they're gathering attention / momentum - much deserved.

Not sure there'll be anything that could conventionally be described as a single release, but if there was, it should surely be...

May - Summer Of '99 (perhaps with a slightly beefed up mix) to capitalise on actual summer and because this song has 'festivals season anthem' written all over it.

September - No Regrets with that powerhouse chorus and a lightly autumnal feel.

November - Love Me Hard as the old school, classic Sugababes ballad primed for pre-Xmas listening a-la Too Lost In You.

February - Love In Stereo to lead a deluxe deluxe of the deluxe edition of the album, featuring 60 bonus tracks.

April - new album.

Failing that, just Summer Of '99 in May with a brand new single in September leading a new album in November.

Siobhan: Here we go again in our darkest hour, feeling hopeless and alone but we'll try.

Keisha: HERe I GO AGaIN in my DARKeST H0OO000UR, FEeLING HOPELeSS AND ALONE but I WoN'T CRYYYYY1!11!

Honestly iconic.

I wonder if they chose 'Today' as the second single because it's one of the four songs (like 'Flatline') all three of them have writing credits on.

I'm so used to my faves having struggle careers and endlessly messy eras that it's just so gratifying to have things go effortlessly smoothly and successfully for once, particularly for a band that have spent the best part of a decade in the wilderness. It just feels like the planets aligned a bit this time around and I'm so thrilled for them, and for us.

Me pretending to properly know what being the album of the week exactly means and being happy anyway.

I don't even have a way of playing a CD anymore but if they release The Lost Tapes on one I'd definitely buy it. Just nice to have a bit of ownership over something that felt like it would never happen and to confirm it really did! It's incredible to see support from Radio 2, I don't know if radio's power is quite as important as it was 10 years ago but it's still a component and it's a huge symbolic improvement on how things went for them last time. So happy for them!
