I'm starting to feel doubtful as well but I just can't understand launching a headline tour without something significant coming. At the very least that would seem like a missed opportunity. It would help push tickets and the press from the tour could help push the new single.

Technically there is still enough time for a single and album campaign if they start now.
They won't. But it could be.
I assume they premiere new songs on the tour to have people maybe check them out? Maybe launching a new single before, with album preorders up during the tour and release time?

My best educated guess is still that we'll get one new single before the tour and that's it.

I do wonder though, when you consider the staples that will always be performed how many extra new songs will realistically be added.

I seriously doubt that will happen, as much as I'd love it. Best case scenario for the set list is the hits plus a couple of Lost Tapes tracks and maybe two new songs at best.
It doesn't really matter if they do Lost Tapes tracks or new songs because let's be honest, maybe 0,001 percent of the audience have listened to Lost Tapes, so it's new music for them anyway.

I don't think they sang New Year then, they did at their very first comeback gig in Shoreditch, for the Ponystep New Years Eve party.

Yes but not for the fans, which is pretty important. I understand them catering to the GP but to give their long standing fanbase no incentive to buy tickets is crazy to me.
I honestly doubt that they will not switch the non album tracks and keep the Garage medley for example. Mutya's recent story about the setlist reveal and them asking what we'd like to hear indicates to me that there is at least some understanding that they have to satisfy their core fanbase in a way.
With my post I just wanted to point out that Lost Tapes/new music would always be new to the majority of people there. Which for me is more an argument to actually do new songs instead of old ones, hopefully leading to them to be released at some point.
I've got ticketmaster tab and trivago tab open and ready to go, but I can't bring myself to part with cash to just see more of the same. I just can't understand why if new music is on the cards this year they'd time a UK tour to happen before it?!
