Sugababes - "Weeds” + 9th Album

The lists are intriguing, however...

The Keisha and Siobhan playlists are great, but I have to say I'm especially curious what the Mutya one will look like, because unlike the other two I really have no idea what types of music she'll go for.

I have only skimmed the lists but really expected Siobhan to have some Iamamiwhoami on there. Some amazing playlists though!
Mutyas will be very interesting, I'm not exactly sure what it will consist of either, her music taste seems to be a mystery for me.

This has probably already posted previously (it's a great interview actually) but it does briefly mention her musical influences growing up.

As much as I listen to a lot of ‘90s R&B, we all grew up on different types of music. Growing up in my household, my dad would listen to Black Sabbath and Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses. And then my mom would listen to a lot of Motown. And then same for the girls. I think we put everything together and we can literally jump on different genres of music and still make it [Sugababes].

I have no poetic thoughts on “Overload” as the backing is just so strongly informed by Jefferson Airplanes’ “White Rabbit” that I wasn’t too impressed when I first heard it. However, that aside, looking at it against the contemporary UK/Euro pop it was released with, I can see why it garnered such a reaction.

Still think it’s a great and iconic song.
