I do believe they semi-rushed releasing “When The Rain Comes” for the O2 date. If One Night Only didn’t happen we would possibly still be waiting to hear anything new.

This is correct. Initially they were eying an album release for September this year but they’re taking time with material to get it right. Rain was at the time the only song they were sure on releasing.

Just tried to book tickets for their Cork show and it said none available. That’s their two Irish shows sold out!

I see they have a show at York Museum Gardens in July. I was thinking of planning another trip to the UK so I may check that out.

It's easy enough to get to York to/from London on the train, but you won't be in time to get a train back down to London once the show's finished so I'd just recommend staying overnight in York. It's a nice, historic city and you'll be able to get a Premier Inn or something for less than £70 I imagine.

They’ve just been announced to be on the line up for Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium in June. Would be great if they had a single ready to go for guaranteed airplay across Capital this summer

3.0 did the the very first Jingle Bell Ball in 2008 but nothing since then.

S Club did the Jingle Bell Ball at the end of last year without any new releases so I wouldn’t say it’s guaranteed but hopefully Sugababes are finally ready to show us what they’ve been working on

Summertime is more for current artists
Jingle is more for legacy acts

I think they’ve got new music coming and the fact they’re doing Summertime Ball, only means they have bagged Capital airplay.

I used to work for Global, the event organiser, so this is a pretty big announcement.

Not really when I went a few years ago it was Dua, Rita, Mabel, Jax Jones, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Major Lazer etc It's just that they can't find decent current acts that they start looking at who's touring who can fill a slot to take it to two hours.
