Sugababes

Sugababes were brill at the dominion.... i was a bit dissapointed about the z list celebs.... im 100% sure i saw louise rednapp there. sad old me was waiting by the red carpet (yes right at the front) waiting for the celebs to arrive.... first up.. Vanessa Feltz... what a way to start. There was some girl who looked like sonia from eastenders going in (clearly not a celeb ) of course me being me shouted at the top of my voice "look its sonia!!!" that poor girl will be scarred forever. muahahah! even the papparazi were in stiches!

Of course the performances was great. Although a couple of things did get me a bit ratty.

1. Clearly there was minimal rehearsals...

2. Too many fuck ups!

3. The really old men were really freaking me out...

4. They finished 'push the button' and it was like "yeah thanks for coming....., ok bye!" and that was it.

5. 'Good To Be Gone' sounded crap live.... was the first time i heard the song...and i didnt like it.

and last of all... Ammelle really looked uninterested in actually being there at the beginning. clearly she was bored.

Other than that The vocals were fantastic....and even 'Too Lost In You' sounded amazing cause they over harmonise in that sometimes...

I definitely know what you mean about the end, everyone was clapping and expecting an encore, that just didnt happen!

I dont think Amelle looked disinterested, to be honest, I think they may have had a falling out before the show. Reason being, that there was a group of fans (including myself) at the stage door at about 6.00, when their manager told us they would be down in 10 minutes to get a car (which was there, a silver BMW) to take them round to the front with the Zelebrities.

Needless to say, they didnt appear, and the car was sent off without them.

Keisha looked the most annoyed/distant though, she never seemed to look at the audience, even when they screamed her name. Maybe, just maybe, the story kicking about regarding a Destiny's Child-esque break, suggested by Keisha, is true and caused a bit of a ruck backstage?

Yeah everyone was wondering if they were gonna come round the front but they never did. Yeah there was definatly ain air of tension between them that night. Some idion told me that mutya and siobhan were gonna make guest appearances on stage. Talk about getting my hopes up!!!!Clearly i knew it wasnt gonna happen. I think Ammelles sisters and fan club tried to get in on the redcarpet but the bouncers werent having none of it. They were with some mincy queen in bright red.

To be honest i thought that it would have been a really big night for them but it was all a bit weird. It was all very rushed.

i was expecting Girls Aloud to show!!

I expected Mutya to be there, really. Not on stage, but with the *ahem* VIPs up top. Shame she wasnt, really, but I suppose she's got her own single out in competition with Easy, in the shape of 'This Is Not Real Love'

So it is T4 now? I thought they were recording a special T4 special?

Hello,

I'm studying Sugababes for a topic and was wondering if anyone would like to help me.

Basically I want to know how you think versions one, two and three of Sugababes have differed in their approach to being Sugababes. Whether this is through their image, songs, videos or anything else is up to you.

I hope this makes sense.

Thank you.

V1 - my favourite. slightly edgier-pop with media-backing. V2 and V3 very much the same. Aimed much more commercially in the hands of big exec chiefs.

V3 is the best. Amelle is more beautiful than Mutya could ever be, and more talented. Plus, Red Dress and Easy came into being with V3. Mutya did the original Red Dress, but boy was that shite in comparison to Amelle's offering.

With each line-up change, they've become less distinctive and less interesting, but more popular. Go figure. The world doesn't like 'different'.

For creativity and harmonies: v1.

For singles, buzz, attitude: v2.

For, er, look and accessibility: v3

Oh, and isn't it about time people starting doing their own homework? x

I don't think versions 2 and 3 are that different. Apart from that they are better looking now.

I think they lost a major vocal talent with Mutya, just heard her vocals on that new George Michael song and they are sublime.

V. 3 doesn't seem to be more popular than V. 2 at all. "Red Dress" did very well but the new lineup was barely settled then. "Follow Me Home" was a flop and "Easy" is somewhat of a dissapointment chart-wise. The greatest hits seems to be doing well, but that's more due to a retrospective of all the lineups, mostly v.2 because they had most of the biggest hits.

I think v2. is by far the best. I loved the style, attitude, videos and songs.

I also like v1. mainly for the vocals and fresh music.

Not really a fan of v3.

I find v3 the best, loved Amelle singing "Push The Button" today on CIN.
