Sugababes

Ddd not my post being ignored.

Avalon is such a weird stage for them to be on… they’d easily attract a crowd at The Park or John Peel. I’m also highly irritated that they clash with Billie Eilish.
I’d argue that it’s probably the only stage that makes sense right now. Even though I’d love to see them on a bigger stage, I think a lot of typical Glasto goers would be outraged to see them on one of the big 5 stages.

I don’t think anyone would be outraged? Pop stars get an absolutely glorious reception.

It’s not so much the ‘pop’ label as opposed to a perceived relevancy. Even so, I remember the year Katy was on the Pyramid, a lot of people in crowds and at the bars being perplexed that she was playing.

Which album do you consider Sugababes's best? I've been a huge fan of ''Three'' since day one.

I think 'Three' ticks a lot of boxes. It's got the right level of commercial pop, edginess and credible songwriting to be a good representation of everything Sugababes were about.

Their best album based on no filler all killer? The debut. You can just leave it on repeat and never get bored. The best one re deep cuts? Taller In More Ways. The best singles wise? Angels With Dirty Faces. The essential one? The best of collection.

For me, it's more like

Their best album based on no filler all killer: Three
The best one re deep cuts: Catfights and Spotlights
The best singles wise: Angels with Dirty Faces
The essential one: One Touch
The one with most filler: Change

and Taller in More Ways doesn't do a lot for me.

I’ve never once listened to Sweet 7. My favourite overall is probably Three, though I love the debut and Angels is also a bloody strong album. I also have a soft spot for Catfights. I remember a few years back rating every song from every album, bar Sweet 7, and Taller in More Ways had a pretty low average compared to the rest.
