Sugababes

Please, when was this mentioned? I need to know every information there is about the lost 4.0 album.
Hard was mentioned on here back in 2011 I believe. There was also another demo called Love Makes Me Crazy doing the rounds, which breakfast2 (throwback) confirmed was a 4.0. demo. So I think there were certainly a few tracks recorded for another album.

Yeah there’s no way they just recorded Freedom and Hard and that was it, there will be other songs out there but there probably wasn’t an “album” as such, just a few tracks recorded to potentially go towards a project.

A 4.0 album was never ever made after Sweet 7, and just wishful thinking with a few fans. Freedom failed to take off, and the failure of Sweet 7, as if any label would throw any money for 4.0 to make another album. Sweet 7 , though cheap sounding, was a big financial blow as the album was very expensive to produce.
'Freedom' was recorded before they signed any form of deal with Sony Music and it wasn't the only track recorded. They had been working on an album; Mark Hargreaves of Crown Music Management confirmed it at the time when he personally played the song to journalists.

Crown were trying to launch a record label arm, and continued to invest in the Sugababes brand - the sessions were predominantly in-house; Sarah Stennett, who was co-managing them at the time, is married to George Astasio from the Invisible Men.

I didn’t realise they left Island/Universal at that time. Is there a reason for that? It seems a bit harsh if they were dropped!

To my knowledge, they technically completed their post-Overloaded contract (3 albums); Crown were keen to re-negotiate under a 'joint venture' deal, so they'd retain more income and Universal/Island were not as keen as they hoped.

Finally listened to their cover of “Teardrops”, it’s really good. Weird how this is the last classic sounding 3.0 track as the next and final 3.0 single was “Get Sexy”.

In case anyone hasn't heard it. I really like the intro

Should’ve been dusted off for Sweet 7, maybe remixed so that the chorus was more dance-pop and electronic.

Situation's Heavy is my favourite Three track! The instrumentation, the sample, the organic recorded vocals (and also love how each 'babe sings lead on the choruses after their respective solo verses)

I always felt Conversation's Over should have been the 4th single with a new / single mix version of Whatever Makes You Happy (double A) instead of Caught In A Moment.

Conversation's Over remains, for me, the best track the group in any incarnation has ever done (and I'd love to hear Siobhan on it).
Agree. I would love to hear a fair few songs from that album get an outing. Not just because I personally adore Siobhan’s voice but also the to hear M&K. Their voices have developed from the original, having much more richness which would lend itself well to some of these tracks (as would Siobhan’s).

I've seen three separate live videos where Heidi has on that Adidas jacket and she decides to really belt out, really hammer home, quite clearly enunciate, the word "me" in Stronger....was it the jacket itself that maliciously possessed her to do that, or did it merely unlock in her some primal need to approach that line like one Steve Irwin attempting to wrangle a particularly bothered snake...Will we ever know?....
