Reading these theories over the last several pages totally makes sense! Watching @bonnieetclyde amazing Sweet 7 documentary last night had me wondering so many things and these theories do kind of explain all that. I guess we’ll never know unless one of them releases a tell all book, or even better all of them.
The best song in their back catalogue and Siobhan would sound amazing on it. A shame if none of them had it on their 'personal lists' of lesser known tracks when they were talking set lists.

I mentioned "Who" as my fave B-side to Mutya once. She made me sing the chorus (off-key, as I do) to remind her what it was. So this tracks. But I bet it's the case for so many artists and why we see so many autocue's on stage these days. If you have a 150+ track catalogue, good luck remembering all the lyrics all the time.
I bet for a large number of artists that the last time that they heard some of their b-sides was the day that they recorded them.
I've always liked Ace Reject but I've become obsessed with it recently. It could have just been Xenomania throwing random verses together to make a song but I like to view each girl's contribution as showing the deterioration of the same relationship chronologically - Mutya desperately pleads for the partner to stay, Keisha acknowledges that there's good and bad in the relationship before Heidi accepts that it's all over. I also love the transition between Mutya and Keisha where the synth motif echoes the chorus, hinting that Mutya won't get what she wants. A masterpiece, honestly!
I just finished the Sweet 7 documentary posted here and aside from the album itself I noted how Amelle came off to me. I love Amelle's voice but her attitude during this era in multiple interviews came off as bitter and cocky. I noticed when Keisha was still in the group that Amelle was much more silent and more about head nods. There's two things I personally can think of why things came off this way to me. Maybe Keisha was too controlling if you look at most interviews let's face it- it's usually Keisha doing all the talking for the others. Maybe the other girls didn't like talking as much and Keisha knew that so she took over that role. Maybe Amelle was intimidated and I could understand why. There's some people you can be around who you'd rather not share how you're feeling because you're scared it'll turn into drama.
My thought on Amelle could be that maybe she was always this way but hid it better. When Keisha left Amelle suddenly took over and you can see her new found confidence which is great but it comes off to me more so cocky and slightly conceited. The little digs about the previous members and not wanting or caring about the merchandise Mutya won. She said it in a way of like "you can keep that." You can tell Heidi is a bit of a pushover and just agrees with pretty much anything said by Amelle. Jade being the new girl naturally had to worry about being likable so she's accepted into the group and the existing fans so her input on the era is vague and not interesting.
Overall I can picture Amelle urging Heidi to side with her because Heidi didn't seem to have these issues prior with Keisha now she's suddenly also "uncomfortable." Keisha is outspoken there's no denying that so maybe it was a bit tough to work with someone who may have wanted total artistic control. Keisha constantly reminds interviewers that she's an artist and writes her own material so that can translate to the controlling side of how things worked between the three.
This documentary was done so nicely and good job to them! After seeing interviews back to back I couldn't help but have a change of thought on Amelle as a person. It's something we all won't know the real facts but it's just how I saw things I am in no way saying that this is what happened for sure. All in all it seemed they have all moved on by now and wish each other success so that's a good ending. I am just curious if anyone else felt this way watching all the interviews compiled.

The Sampler version absolutely botches Mutya’s section and adds the chorus in and it just sounds so wrong that I’m thankful it was never a single.

The fact that Ace Reject was a reject, that Never Gonna Dance Again was a reject, that Keisha dislikes songs like Denial and I'm Alright, that Mutya hated Red Dress...its all why i dont trust Sugababes members tastes in their own music ddd

The gag about this one is that Mutya not liking Red Dress is one of the biggest memes in the Sugababes fandom... and Miranda Cooper said it was Mutya herself who came up with the idea for the song nn
Surely someone's dislike of Red Dress has to be exaggerated or it would never have made it onto the last tour setlist. I can get one member hating it and it still making it, but it wasn't a big enough hit for them to do it if they all dislike it. Siobhan seemed to imply that she only liked it cause of the tour arrangement, but that'd have come after they decided to include it. Unless maybe the musical director was a huge fan and came up with the arrangement on his own and convinced the girls to go with it?
As much as a bop it is, I have to confess even the song feels a little... off for me at times. It's one of those that when you're in the mood for it, you'd absolutely love every second, otherwise you'd just run to stop the tape...
