Supergirl

Not to mention the showrunner (Berlanti) is actually gay and to make what they want happen would literally require recycling a storyline.
That Jeremy had to make not one but two IG posts to apologize is so sad because he shouldn't have had to explain himself in that way to appease them. A furor over nothing.

I was reading it all on twitter the other morning after something about it popped up on my feed and I was just sat shaking my head. One made up on the spot silly song about season 2 causes that much outrage. Unbelievable.

I'm waiting on delivery, I think it's just a HD version of the International Cut 'tbh'.

Not very exciting but then it is HD so it's better than nothing.

The Director's cut certainly deserves a HD transfer hopefully one day.

Anyone here still watching this show? It's just had a really strong, ambitious season that I think more people should check out. Some of the alien/immigration stuff can be quite blatant at times, but at the same time I think it's admirable that the show is reflecting the kind of divisiveness we're seeing in a lot of places at
the moment, even if they're doing that with superpowers.

Benoist did wonderfully playing a new character who was so unlike Kara that my only complaint is that we didn't see more of Red Daughter, who played a large role in probably the best episode of the season. I like Dreamer and Brainy a lot individually, but I think they're a lot of fun together, too. Not to mention Jon Cryer being surprisingly great as Lex Luthor!

I'm excited for season five, particularly to see what the show does with the Kara/Lena dynamic after what happened in the season finale.

I love Supergirl. I love that it's not unafraid to deliver stories that reflect on what is going on in the world at the moment. And it goes without saying that I adore Alex and Nia. I feel like the CW superhero shows are doing a really good job with their LGBT+ representation at the moment.

I'm really excited to see what Lena does next. I hope she goes full-on villain mode. (But mainly because I love it when Katie McGrath plays villains.)

I enjoyed the first two episodes of the new season. I think the show is very underrated, they really have a great cast put together. I hope they don't go down the evil route with Lena, I think rehashing the Lex/Superman storyline would be a disservice to Lena and the relationship between her and Kara. For me I think if she went fully to the dark side it would be extremely out of character, her and Kara's stories are so intertwined at this stage I can't really see how Kara could never pull her back from the brink no matter how far she goes.

I just started this and it’s a very charming show so far. Melissa’s so pretty and cute.
Don't get too used to the way things are in Season 1 when the show aired on CBS, the move of TV networks to the CW for Season 2 onwards changes the show a lot (for the better), though I think there is an obvious budget difference too.

I couldn’t make it past S4 of this.

I recently gave up on the Flash too which is the last of the Arrowverse that I was watching.

The cast is charismatic AF and it helps that Melissa can do both supergirl and Kara Danvers really well.

Season 5 she finally gets a costume which covers her legs, so clearly she got enough power to demand some changes.
