This is one of the worst album rollouts of all time.
I’m honestly gooped.
Release date is 14 Feb
New song is good though
I feel like he’s trolling with these titles like Patience, It Might Be Time, and Slow Rush
Honestly haha . Patience is not on the album.
So, there are (at least) four vinyl variants of the forthcoming album.
Three are on Rough Trade.
"Black Vinyl / Includes download code / Double 180 Gram Vinyl in Gatefold Sleeve, Printed Inners and Folded A3 Poster"
"Dark Forest Green / Includes download code / LP++ - Double 180 Gram Vinyl in Gatefold Sleeve, Printed Inners and Folded A3 Poster"
"[1LP] Red / [1LP] Light Blue / Includes download code / Double 180 Gram Vinyl in Gatefold Sleeve, Printed Inners and Folded A3 Poster"
And the Artist's own website has the fourth:
"The exclusive coloured 2LP - Double gatefold, 180g with A3 poster and download card
Side A/B red vinyl with central yellow splodge
Side B/C light blue vinyl with central yellow splodge"
No pressing quantities initially published on any of the sales pages, although I'm sure numbers are rumbling around.
This is brilliant. The Little InnerSpeakers who didn't like Currents will hate this.
Why are they like this?
Love the new song.
This is really good. Can't wait to hear the original version by Rihanna!
This new song isn't doing anything for me. Patience is better.
Patience is my favorite of the 3 songs so of course it’s the one that’s getting cut from the album. The new one is nice, though.
The new track is killer, I'm so excited for this record.
Loving the new song. I think it could end up being my favorite of the three that have been released this year.
It Might Be Time really slaps, it might be one of my favourite songs of theirs.
It's an OK song. Not as good as Patience...
Love the Hall & Oates vibes off this.
Borderline is that song for me. It took a while to grow on me, but I love it now. It’s brilliant! It Might Be Time is a close second. I’m quite excited for the album now.
I’m a bit surprised by the love for Patience. I didn’t like it very much back then and it still remains the weakest of the lot for me. I’m glad it’s not on the album - more space for better songs.
All this time I thought Tame Impala was a band not a one person project I-
They’re a band when they’re playing live, but a solo project in the studio (since Currents) - if it makes any sense. It’s not a Florence & The Machine type scenario here (which by the way, is a band, despite popular belief).
That said, I think they worked on Lonerism and Innerspeaker as a band but Kevin worked on Currents as a solo act.
Separate names with a comma.
