Tate McRae - "2 hands" + So Close To What (Feb 21)

Um, Britney might be a retired performer turned social media dance instructor, but she absolutely is one of the top 5 most influential and iconic female artists of all time. We will keep her on the pedestal.
This.

Snatched tickets for Madrid as well, even though it seems to be the only bloody date on the tour without the pit sections.
Happy the tour is selling like hot cakes, girlfriend has been SERVING - I am so glad I joined the party earlier this year!

Addison Rae is 24 and stans Madonna (and Britney nn) to the point where she is consistently referencing some of the most obscure moments of their careers. Age, especially in the digital age where everything is decentralized and readily available, means very little in terms of inspiration and linear references anymore. While it makes perfect sense for Tate to have more of an attachment to Selena / Ariana / etc, it's not like the 2010s were brimming with top tier pop star personalities to model a career off of.

She’s repeatedly given Britney/Christina, etc. their flowers, so it’s very odd that this narrative that she scoffs at any comparisons has surfaced. It’s just a fact that she grew up with Taylor/Ariana/Miley/Selena being the girls of the moment. Even Rihanna/Katy/Gaga’s heyday were when she was…six-ten years old dddd.

She's charging nearly 450 USD for a VIP package with Soundcheck, Q&A, and early access in Mexico City, while the regular standing tickets are around 60 USD. I like her and would love to see her up close, but there's no way I'm paying 450 USD to see her perform in a tiny venue with a bare-bones show.
