Taylor Swift - evermore

  1. Wow, I loved reading that. I wish we got this kind of insight for albums more often.

I loved reading about how she wrote 'tis the damn season, we love a wine drunk hookup with an ex anthem! I agree with him, I think that's one of the best songs they've written.

I also loved reading about how he mixed her vocal and left it with a relatively "dry" sound. It's so true that in a lot of Pop stuff, they EQ vocals in such a flat way that it takes away the magic (I think Joel Little is the biggest culprit of this out of Taylor's collaborators). They really did a great job on these two albums of making sure all the facets of her voice could shine, especially her lower range.

  3. One of these things is not like the other indeed!
  4. What a shame for this natural environment to be spoiled by pink sludge runoff from a local sewage plant.
  5. I wonder if Taylor will never acknowledge ME!'s existence ever again. It would be most pleasing to me if she just swept it under the carpet.

  6. Even though I’m disappointed about not getting to go to Loverfest, I’m relieved that I likely don’t ever have to suffer through that in any future setlist.

  7. Honestly it's a lead single that still got to number 2 and it's not really like Taylor to completely disavow her old music, so I do think we'll see it performed at some point on some tour if even just for the little kids in the audience ddd.

  8. Nah, even they've grown out of it

  9. Literally looks like ME! is diarrhea on the other songs.

    Which, it is.

  10. Taylor may have moved on from evermore after release week but she’s not going down without a fight!
  11. It's for tweets like these ones that I know I will be scared to sleep during March

  12. I'm betting on either a long pond sessions for evermore, or some little doc on her re-recordings. Would be thrilled with either tbh!
  13. It would be cute to invert the formula a bit and do a similar things but maybe a 'Plugged' style gig? Can be in-studio with the guys or whatever, but maybe a play-through where some songs get a little beefed? Just for the sake of variety...

  14. I’m holding out hope for a ppv concert this year. Something relatively stripped back, but with a full band would be ideal. It could be in support of everything she’s done since folklore and anything new this year (including re-recordings). A girl can dream, I guess. I’d still live for anything she’d put out in the same vein as long pond, too.

  15. Your Midas touch on the Chevy door
November flush and your flannel cure
"This dorm was once a madhouse"
I made a joke, "Well, it's made for me"
How evergreen, our group of friends
Don't think we'll say that word again
And soon they'll have the nerve to deck the halls
    That we once walked through
One for the money, two for the show
I never was ready so I watch you go
Sometimes you just don't know the answer
'Til someone's on their knees and asks you
"She would've made such a lovely bride
What a shame she's fucked in the head," they said
But you'll find the real thing instead
She'll patch up your tapestry that I shred

  16. And tolerate it is her best track 5

Whew this album keeps on giving!
  17. You just put the idea in my head of her doing an MTV Unplugged show. I need her to quarantine a few fans (hey bestie @TaylorSwift13 <3) and do that immediately.
  18. I was just reading the Jonathan Low/mixing part of this article again and WOW at that screenshot of the ProTools session for Willow. You wouldn't think a song that sounds so raw and simple like that would have almost 100 tracks. The production and mixing on these two albums really is immaculate.

  19. 10th week on the Hot 100:
    willow: #25 (+4)
    cardigan: #53 (-4)
