Taylor Swift - evermore

Ooh I feel like the first person in the world to have one haha!

I listened to the bonuses on my drive home, both feel more essential to the album than The Lakes did to Folklore, by that I mean they fit the rest of the album well.

Both are written with Aaron, no Jack.

Pictures, including lyrics and credits...

Thank you so much!

The lyrics of the new 2 songs are very interesting, the second one especially is so very obvious about her leaving Big Machine.
I'm really looking forward to listening to them

Yeah, It's Time To Go reads like yet another Scott Borchetta song dddd. I wish the two deluxe songs gave us more Jack, but... (hopefully there is a 3rd album full of him~)

Edit: Just listened to them. Right Where You Left Me is pretty uptempo compared to the rest of the album, it's another country song to add to the mix! It's Time To Go is surprisingly poppy, with steel guitars coming in halfway.

On first listen, they're both fine, but I'd argue inessential to the album as a whole. She chose the right songs for the "main tracklist" (whatever that even means nowdays).

You know that my train could take you home
Anywhere else is hollow
I'm begging for you to take my hand

Her Blair witchcraft has got a hold on me

He/Him
I don’t really get why she’s holding back these two “bonus tracks”? They’re on every physical copy of the album and will likely be on iTunes and Streaming this week.... what exactly is bonus about them if they’re not exclusive to something or atleast released months after the actual album?
Like obviously I want them to be available to everyone and as soon as possible but it just seems kinda pointless.

I was actually expecting more Scott drags from her, but she’s been dragging Scooter more. She really hates Scooter, but I imagine the Scott debacle must have hurt more.

The bonus tracks are certainly better than the lakes so this may be what edges evermore for me. I actually like long story short but right where you left me could easily replace it and the album would be a bit stronger for it.

Give the album an extra nudge for complete world domination I’m sure. I’ll laugh if there’s truth to that Paul McCartney story that she bumped her album forward so as not to compete with him yet she dropped the physical copy on his album release day. Oop.

Haven’t heard these yet but the It’s Time To Go lyrics seem bonus-y. Right Where You Left Me’s lyrics are giving me lowkey Last Time I Saw Richard by Joni Mitchell teas which is a high compliment.
