Some more pictures from her Vogue UK shoot.
C'mon, Taylor, lean into your Carly Simon standom and give us an entire era of this.
More Twiggy and less 8 years too late dip-dye next era T.
So this was her Netflix documentary
Miss Americana is such an ill fitting title for a Taylor documentary.
What makes you say that? I feel like it’s a pretty fitting title given that during her rise to fame she basically was ~Miss Americana~ with her guitar, cowboy boots, sparkly sundresses, fake country accent, etc...and I assume the documentary will touch on her very deliberate move away from that image in recent years.
I feel like this is going to be 50% emotional/heartfelt and 50% "Kim Kardashian ruined my life and here's how".
Shoulda been Miss America’s Sweetheart / Miss American Sweetheart.
I mean name a piece of her music that actually qualifies as Americana.
Thanks, I hate it.
The term Americana is not specific to music. I think the title (of the documentary and the song) are a play on her image and place in American culture rather than her being a literal Americana musician.
I mean, for better or worse I could see Our Song or You Belong With Me being considered “modern Americana” (by Rob Sheffield, but ya know)
"Harnessing the full power of her voice" I know they ain't talking about the album.
Well as a term it also doesn’t just equate to Country in terms of aesthetic. I don’t really see Taylor’s old country looks as anything other than millennial country teen.
To each their own I guess, but it’s a term I’d never really associate with her.
The Heartbreak Prince:
An upcoming Men.com documentary about Jake Gooberballs and his performance as Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home as he learns to harness the full power of his balls.
Naming it Miss Americana when literal Neo-Nazis and other assorted white supremacists were claiming she was THEIR girl is... well, certainly a qwhite interesting choice
Separate names with a comma.
