Taylor Swift - Midnights

She could do it in 2024 if she really wanted. There’s no need to wait for the entire re-recording process to be over when all she really needs is 1989 to be finished since the bulk of the setlist will likely be from that, Fearless, and Red plus a couple more recent songs anyway.

Ok but I need to see Enchanted played at the Superbowl so Enchanted (15 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version) can get the #1 it deserves

Is it me or, without Taylor, are they running out names who could reliably command that stage?

imagine them inviting Beyoncé back.

I was thinking about this as well. I am sure Taylor will do it some day. After this album cycle would make a ton of sense. Otherwise, maybe Kelly Clarkson? She's so popular with all of America and could do a mix of songs and covers. Would it be a spectacle? Probably not but I if they can build a show around Maroon 5...

Just imagined Taylor somehow incorporating King of My Heart because I think that would sound so good in a half time stadium.

I think this makes 2024 more likely though? In an ideal world we’re back in a cycle now and will be on track for Speak Now early 2023 then 1989 late 2023.

She could use the Super Bowl to launch Reputation and the only album missing would be her debut which I’m sure she wouldn’t perform or expect to have anywhere near as much of a chart resurgence as the others.

This news does concern me about a tour as well to be honest as I feel like that presents her with a similar problem… The sooner we get 1989 the better!

Yeah, she does feel like the last of the Big Pop Girls who’s yet to do it - apart from Rihanna of course, but I guess she’s not gonna do it for a while. Ariana maybe, although she’s not really in her popstar bag at the moment either. In a fun gay dream I could see the rock chick equivalent of Shakira / JLo being a bit of a screech - Pink / Kelly / Avril.

I can’t even imagine what a Taylor setlist would look like for a tour let alone a 15 minute slot! Could she do one track from each album? Praying for a little August moment at the piano.

Taylor and former popstar Rihanna are definitely probably the last two artists who have a big enough catalogue of hits who could be relied upon to generate huge interest and put on a massive show. That said, the Maroon 5 and past-his-prime-Justin Timberlake years show that the organisers don’t seem to care too much about the ability to command the stage.

With our collective luck watch it be Harold up there strutting around in a collection of hideous looks.

I think Kelly and P!nk could be asked to headline on their own, it may not fit the spectacle of Beyoncé, Madonna, etc. but would be up there with the likes of Maroon 5.

If Miley could get into a better release pattern I could see her doing it as well, maybe more likely co-headlining.

Carrie Underwood could probably do it too actually…

Maybe Aguilera can do it. She has enough hits and more than enough great songs for a 12 minute set.

This is who I’m fully expecting to do it. She is off all of December and January so she can really rehearse for it. She starts touring at the top of February so she would need to move 10 dates to do the SB but her tour hasn’t been selling out like her previous ones, so I’m sure her team/label would gladly move underperforming dates to then get the biggest tv platform to get those dates to sell out? Easy.

Plus she already has the NFL connection as she sings the Sunday Night song.

I can see them probably doing more co-headliners leaning into nostalgia and choosing acts who are loosely related/similar genre.

I'd add Britney to this list. Everyone else discussed above.. I could see them sharing sets, but not headlining solo.

I could see her set being an entire retrospective, hence her wanting to wait for all the TV to be released. Hearing the opening chords of Teardrops on My Guitar before launching into Fearless, a moment most pleasing.

Teardrops On My Guitar Intro
Love Story/You Belong With Me Mashup
Enchanted
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Shake It Off
Blank Space
Look What You Made Me Do
Delicate/Lover Mashup
August/New Song Mashup

I could definitely see something like this.

This seems perfect but I need Out of the woods and Style added there, maybe instead of August and Enchanted (as much as I hate to say it).

There’s no way she won’t finish a SB set with Shake it Off. It’s her biggest hit, for better or worse.
