The last thing we really need is to give Swifties more ammo to feel entitled to send him death threats and other harmful messages because of what happened well over a decade ago. By all means call him out on the way he used to act with his partners, but there's a limit and the way Taylor's fans seem okay with crossing it is really unsettling. John may have acted like a total dick in his time but he doesn't deserve the kind of things said to him, nobody does. There is never any excuse to send someone you don't know death threats and messages hoping they die in horrible ways.

When Red TV came out, John literally shared death threats he was getting from Swifties. The fact that a large number of them think it was okay then, when really none of the songs were about him (let's not get started on the fact Jake also got similar messages) will not hold back when Speak Now TV comes out. Your suggestion that Taylor gets another one of John's exes to hop on a song about him would literally add fuel to the fire.
And I really don't think the age gap makes him a creep. The age gap is not bigger than that of my parents, and I can assure you that my Dad is not a creep. Toxicity is not limited to age gaps in relationships. It may happen often but it is not a hard and fast rule that all older men are creeps and all older women are predators either when they date someone younger.
Dating a teenager when you’re in your 30’s feels pretty creepy behaviour to me.
The people who send death threats are always going to act like that regardless of anything, most fanbases have a certain number of fans who cross the line.

Maybe because sending death threats and wishing death on someone, regardless of how you feel about them, is a disgusting and inexcusable act and I have lost a very dear friend to suicide after they got this sort of treatment, so god forbid I don't think it's a "kii" or a good idea to incite that kind of bile within an already toxic fanbase.
But other fanbases do it all the time and John is a man and "it's not that deep" or whatever else I'll get fired back at me, so it doesn't matter right?
