I’m usually so vehemently against tour spoilers but since international dates will be a a long, long time away I’ve just watched everything I’ve come across ddd.
Lover seems like a weird section to open on but maybe it was a cathartic for her since that tour was the one that was meant to happen next after reputation? The set list is insane even after that opening, I can imagine how feral I’ll be when I see it live.
So many of the videos make the crowd look dead during some performances because everyone’s phone is out? I know these videos don’t paint an accurate representation of the atmosphere but I found it strange. All my videos from reputation are awful because I’m screeching in the background nn

Part of me is very impressed, but a bigger part of me absolutely hates a set list being grouped together with their fellow album brethren. Sounds like a bit of a slog in parts.
Sadly doesn’t look like there is any meet and greets, could be just for opening night but more than likely covid precautions.
This also occurred to me this morning. She's not a huge mash-up maven and I don't think they're generally that popular with most fans, but it would've been interesting to hear her play a round with a more thematically driven setlist rather than separating everything.
And there would've been mashup potential for a few songs! Mz. Swift has loved a recycled chord progresh in the past few years (Death By A Thousand Cuts / Betty mashup would have murdered the cigs). It also feels a little bit absurd to do the ~bad bitch~ rep cuts and Vigilante Shit at the same show with like 90 mins between them.
I'm moaning for the sake of it though because I know I'll spend ridiculous amounts to go and love ever damn second.

'Miss Americana...' is such a random opener. From the clips I've seen, it does just about work but 'Cruel Summer' would be bigger statement.

Thank God. I’m sorry, but the way Swifties do everything possible to get noticed by Taylor and her team (before the tour and during the show) to get into these meet and greets is way too much. There’s a certain… entitlement they get after meeting her as well. I don’t know, I’d much rather she prioritises herself as well as her team and family’s health than the jobless Swifties who reply to every single @taylornation tweet trying to get noticed.
I agree but Taylor seems to genuinely love interacting with the fans so it’s a shame. Some people go over board of course.
I think a 3 hour show and a M&G after would be too much without any factors and at least no one misses out and they can enjoy the show without trying to be “spotted” which was always a bit weird because lots of them then get upset they weren’t picked.
She only sings a few lines of Miss Americana before launching into Cruel Summer.
