I'm feeling so disappointed by all of this. For the silence, for the lack of empathy, for not allowing fans to pay tribute at yesterday's concert and for all these articles and PR strategies that must have cost much more than simply helping the family since day 1.
There is definitely more to it. If she hasn't said or done anything when this particular run of shows stop then something is off.
Is this article just them quoting a cousin of Ana, saying "as far as she knows" they haven't contacted the family? Maybe she just doesn't know?
There's no way Taylor's team would approve PR about contacting the family if they didn't actually do it, that's so easy to disprove. Like, people need to think critically here.
People need to stop jumping to conclusions tbh. This is the worst possible scenario for any performer and an absolute legal nightmare. It’s likely there are lawyers working around the clock for multiple parties on who is responsible (which no one obviously wants), so she may not be legally able (or advised) to say anything further from the statement she already put out.

Honestly I still respect that she really doesn't own any sort of "public speech" about it, on stage; Helping the family would be something graceful to do, even if also not mandatory... now feeding US tabloid with fake news about reaching out if they didn't... that's fucked up if true.

There are all sorts of contradicting reports flying all over Twitter and the tabloids…I know it’s a highly emotional situation but that’s all the more reason to maybe give everyone involved some grace and a couple of days to figure the situation out before rushing to judgements and conclusions.

The optics obviously look shitty right now, but throughout her entire career Taylor has always been incredibly kind to her fans. It's very uncharacteristic of her to not help the family or even put out a proper statement, and I don't believe she would ever choose to ignore a tragedy like this.
The only logical explanation is her legal team are preventing her from doing that, which is obviously awful, but she probably needs some time to pass or the legal issues to be worked out before she can say/do anything.

Yeah, there's clearly a lot to this situation and I don't think it's fair to jump to conclusions. Taylor's track record shows that she pretty much always helps in these situations, so it's pretty clear that there's more at play here.
It wouldn’t surprise me if she or her team have reached out and asked to remain anonymous or instructed them to specifically deny it when asked.
The Taylor Swift I’ve come to love is a PR machine. That she chose to stay silent in such a situation speaks volumes. We need to not be the ones casting stones here. I feel we could accuse her of many things, from milking fans to her penchant for Easter eggs and mind games, but being callous isn’t one of them.
