Taylor Swift - The Eras Tour

Most of the vocals on the uptempos from night 1 and 2 are identical. It makes sense given that she’s doing 43 songs, though.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking the same and then I saw some like Don't Blame Me where they were definitely different between the two nights. I guess the split they setlist up to keep her voice safe.

We Are Never Ever was her first #1 on the Hot 100. It makes sense that she feels it holds a special spot in her career arc, even if it's not top tier in quality. And even then it's a well crafted pop song, she's just surpassed it so many times since.

22 is not good, but since its been the most used instagram caption on every 22 year olds birthday post, I guess it has its part in the zeitgeist.

We don’t deserve her. I’m not watching any videos because I want to be surprised if I can manage to see her when she tours Europe, but from what most people are saying this is an 11/10.
Just the number of songs performed is crazy.

22 is fine by the way. I was 23 when she released it and I have fond memories of it.

Now that this thread is a bit more quiet, I have a few points and questions:

1. Is there any reason behind the flow of the tour? Why ''Lover'' to ''Fearless'' to ''Evermore'' etc? I would've expected a catchier start. ''Are you ready for it?'' or ''Meet me at midnight'' etc...

2. Why do people not like ''Vigilante Shit''? That opening line and the beat drop is insane, for me. Simply captivating even if the rest of the lyrics are not her best.

3. The way she changed the lyrics of ''Don't Blame Me'' to flow into ''Look What You Made Me Do'' is incredible.

4. What are our bets regarding a live album / concert film on Netflix? I'm starving here.

5. Some songs being with pre-recorded vocals is only logical, she's having 45 songs!

2. Listen to the song. It's a bad Billie Eilish impression or what not. Also the lyrics are meh.

4. She pretty much released a lot of live album things, so chances are pretty high. But I wouldn't expect it before the tour is over, which can take a while because there are no dates outside the US yet and are to be expected.

I reckon she went with Lover as the opener as it was the tour that she was supposed to do in 2020. Almost like she’s picking up from where she left off. And obviously Midnights ending the show as a sort of ‘where we are now’ moment.

The order of the eras in between is anyone’s guess. I guess she wanted to spread out the country/pop/folky moments, as well as the mega-hits.

I am not a huge fan but I will see her when/if she comes to my city.
A Taylor concert is an 'event'.
Tay's last 2 tours of Australia were stadiums - Sydney 2018 show sold 72,800 tix!
