Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department

Any/All
I can see that it will probably be a bit of a grower, but I don't know if I'll want to spend the time with it. The lyrics are some of her worst ever, and there's not too many moments that exhibit real artistic growth - sonically, vocally or lyrically. However, some of the tracks are still quite great, even if they are retreading the same ground she's done for quite a while now, namely:

Fortnight
But Daddy I Love Him
Florida!!!
loml
I Can Do It with a Broken Heart
The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived

loml in particular is gorgeous, Florida!!! and I Can Do It are incredibly fun! Florida gives the album such a breath of fresh air that I feel the whole second half is riding on its tailwind. Overall, it's not worse than Midnights (I think so?), thank god. You could make a fairly decent (and super consistent) album by mixing the highlights from both!

Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me? is giving reputation/pantomime villain. Not sure if I love it or hate it.

First 3 songs are very much Bleachers/Jack on autopilot, but I really like Down Bad and So Long London.

The lyrics are heartbreaking so far.

"You swore that you loved me but where were the clues"
