The 90's Billboard #1s Rate: 1990-1994 - AND WE ARE DONE

Le sigh at UB40 disappearing. The Sliver soundtrack is so amazing and so random. I've enjoyed the movie itself on several occasions, the genre 'erotic thriller' is severely underrated.

I have a bunch of 4's and 5's left that are ripe for picking. Some of them have crazy stans that will ensure their late departure in this rate. The rest.. the good Lord knows who is keeping them from leaving.

What do we get instead? A lady called Monica.

Teen pop?
This is teen pop.

#1 in the UK in 1998, but not released in any Americas, so not included in this rate. What do we get instead? A lady called Monica.

What is this false equivalence?

If you want to complain about the lack of teen pop in this rate, ask yourself why the US didn’t catch on to the Backstreet Boys in 1995 when Europe was all over them.

Just because the US had the sense to give rightful props to the talented vocalists of nineties R&B doesn’t mean you have to pit those women against your bubblegum faves.
