What is the context for the unborn children line in the film?

“Have you never met a woman who inspires you to love? Until your every sense is filled with her? You inhale her. You taste her. You see your unborn children in her eyes and know that your heart has at last found a home.”

This is Don Juan De Marco talking to his psychiatrist.

Basically the movie is about a young man who is in a psychiatric hospital because he believes he has already loved thousands of women at the age at 21 (when I remember correctly). What is imagination and what is thruth is left with the viewer but some of these sayings are still quoted between me and my friends ...

My personal favourite:

Don Juan [voice-over] This would have been a very good time for me to lie. But truth is a terrible habit.
to Dona Ana:
Don Juan: Including you... there have been... exactly... one... thousand, five hundred and two.

Edit for better understanding:
The young guy believes he is some gallant knight ...

I'm sorry, but if a song requires me to watch a feature-length film to understand it, I don't think it's a very good song.
But you have judged the song by its lyrics. By doing so it definitely would be an advantage knowing what they are about. Doesn't make the song any better but believe me the lyrics.

Well, if the lyrics are literal quotes from the film, it’s not like a great deal of effort went into writing them! I’ve never bothered with the film as I couldn’t stand Johnny Depp then and I certainly can’t stand him now.

The song itself is schmaltzy dreck...the sort of thing Ronan or Westlife would cover (actually, they probably did?). The evil is defeated, etc.

At least the Men In Black theme was fun.

Poor @Filippa, rate villain somewhere and rate victim somewhere else. Not too fussed this went first.

You're a treat. But it's o.k. I knew the majority of you didn't like it.

But I regret pointing out what this song is about.

No, on the contrary that's just the effort.

But Wild Wild West and Men in Black are also essentially plot synopsis and you don’t need to know the film to enjoy it, I know because I’ve never seen Wild Wild West
You can enjoy Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman without the movie. You don't need to question the lyrics. The lyrics of Men in Black don't make sense either ... And enjoying Wild Wild West, well yes that's your choice ...
