The Apprentice UK - Series 17 (2023) | "Generic worm"

Yeah. I know the interviews are always tough but the is just mean.
I think there's gonna be a bit of a backlash against it this year. it's been quite obvious that they're set up to fail rather than demonstrate their range of skills.
I’m not a fan of Victoria, but Lynda’s “you could get a job again as an air hostess” was an awful, horrifically classist line.

And who the fuck cares that mermaids don’t exist? Who is going to tell her that golden retriever puppies don’t use toilet paper?

Every single interviewer is just ridiculously unreasonable, and the contestants are being forced to stand by a random document they put together as part of a shot-in-the-dark application months before. Back in the earlier seasons, I’m pretty sure they had 2 days to refine and rework their business cases.

I'm loving these solidarity chats on the sofa, but it can't take away how mean spirited this whole episode has been. I know we've always got a kiki out of these interviews, but this year feels ... different? I don't quite know how to explain it.

Karen making two of them cry. You can tell she doesn’t like it.

Now we have the 5 rich snobs around a table. Usually I like this episode but this has just been mean spirited.

If these interviews are really to be believed, then these contestants don’t warrant their bus fare home, never mind the investment. So how are we really expected to care about anything in next weeks final? When Alan and co suddenly bigging the final two up, how are we meant believe a word they say?

Sorry, I don’t think they are being overly harsh. The contestants are asking for a £250,000 investment and if they cannot produce a basic document then it is going to be pulled apart, savagely or not. Furthermore, not many of their business models even sound like a great venture to buy into. A lot of style over substance - and some of them lack even the style to be fair.

100% agree. It’s a £250,000 investment, it’s going to be picked apart brutally.
