Here I was thinking this would be a total 10 from you, especially considering how good Ricki looks in it dddd

It's got the boppy structure to it for sure, but sometimes the songs that look like they will be total Hazey bopfests don't latch onto to me against all odds and this is one. She does look beautiful in the video though.

I gave it my 11 because I loved Raining Diamonds, but when Do It Like That dropped it cemented my Ricki-Lee standom. Yeah it's obviously very heavily inspired by Bey, but it is such a rush and an absolute tune. Fear & Freedom is definitely one of my favourite pop albums and brings back fond memories of blasting it in the car with my girls and seeing her live in a gay club for like $15, which mostly consisted of her screaming "gay rights" and explaining which songs on the album were about dancing and/or fucking.

'Do It Like That' is Ricki-Lee redoing her laurels. What a laurel it is.
It's the little sister of 'Can't Touch This' and there is nothing wrong with that.

Ricki-Lee is one of those artists I feel like I should like more, but can just never seem to latch onto. I thought maybe this rate would be the thing to pique my interest more, alas, she wound up getting overshadowed by other new discoveries for me.

It often gets forgotten for some of bigger hits, but I was listening to it when compiling the songlist for the rate and fell in love with it all over again. Suffice it to say including it has paid off for Ms. Lee-Coulter.

It was originally meant to be June 25th, but I'm going to push it back a week until July 2nd as I've fallen a bit behind on the eliminations. The Wildcard results will be revealed between the 11th and 10th elimination.
