Jillian Rose Banks, mononymously known as BANKS, is an american singer/songwriter who emerged onto the indie music scene in 2013 with her all-black-everything witchy looks and catchy melancholic hooks. Alongside other female artists such as FKA twigs and Kelela she helped popularize a new genre of music which is often referred to as Electro-R&B. Over the years, BANKS' signature dark sound combining distorted vocals and experimental beats, has been a clear source of inspiration for many artists, and yet she still doesn't get the credit she deserves.
