The #1 single for a second week running Idina Menzel's Frozen smash "Let It Go", which combining the two versions currently charting sells an additional 259,884 downloads this week. Likewise the Deluxe Frozen OST itself moves to its highest position yet, up 3-2 on the albums chart.

The week's highest new entry comes courtesy of Huh Gak, who scores another smash for the You Who Came From The Stars OST with "Tears Like Today" at #2.

Meanwhile the song destined to take over the #1 position next week enters at #3 for now - of course I am talking about Soyu & JunggiGo's "Some", which sells just shy of 189k in less than 48 hours.

Ga-in looks to be the latest victim in the long line of pre-release singles performing better than their respective title tracks; "Truth or Dare" only enters at #8, and actually ranks lower than "Fxxk U" in its second week, which drops 3-6.

The top 10 is rounded out by B.A.P, who secure their first top 10 hit as "1004 (Angel)" enters at #9. It surpasses their previous best "Rain Sound", which last year charted at #15.

B.A.P also have this week's top album, entering at #1 with their first studio album First Sensibility. It is the group's first chart-topper and their 8th top 10 album.

Whattya get when you put together the second-biggest [possibly first-biggest~] member of the nation's biggest girl group, add on a feature from one half of the nation's biggest rising rap duo, and wrangle in one of the nation's biggest young male soloists? You get the biggest hit of the year so far, obviously. At least in terms of first week numbers no song has hit it as big as Soyu and JunggiGo's "Some", which this week climbs 2 spots to the top and sells just over 333,000 downloads. This is the biggest debut of 2014, surpassing Gary's "Shower Later" which sold 310k in its first week. The song, which also features Lil Boi of Geeks, was pretty much assured domination, having hit MelOn's roof more than 30 times (that's reaching into some BIG BANG-esque territory for those of you keeping score at home). "Some" is Soyu's second #1 single outside of SISTAR, following last year's 2-week chart-topper "Stupid In Love" with Mad Clown.

While Soyu occupies the top spot, SISTAR's domination is THICK on this week's chart. Hyorin is still going strong and now has 2 songs in the top 10. In addition to the former #1 "Annyeong", which this week falls to #7, Hyorin's Korean version of "Let It Go" makes its debut at #6 this week following her label's decision to release it as a stand-alone single (and who wouldn't want to capitalize on the year's biggest hit?) It is Hyorin's 7th top 10 single outside of SISTAR.

Meanwhile the English version of "Let It Go" is still going strong, the two separate versions of Idina Menzel's smash hit land at #5 and 9 this week, and would be #3 had their points been combined. In total the song sells 161,843 downloads over the last 7 days.

The highest new entry on this week's chart comes courtesy of legendary ballad singer Sung Si Kyung, who lands the latest addition to the You Who Came From The Stars OST "Every Moment of You" at #2.

Also on the ballad front S.M. THE BALLAD is back and occupies multiple spots with tracks off their new album. The Jonghyun / Taeyeon duet "Breath" leads the pack at #3, followed again by Jonghyun this time with EXO's Chen at #8 with "A Day Without You".

But this week's action-packed top 10 doesn't end there. Squeaking in at #10 is Mamamoo (who with some BIG help from K.Will and Wheesung) become the first 2014 rookies to land a top 10 hit with "Peppermint Chocolate". It surpasses their previous best "Don't Be Happy" featuring Bumkey which charted at #20.

Outside the top 10 there are new debuts from Togeworl ("Talk To Me", #12) and LADIES' CODE ("So Wonderful", #33), while further down two young acts land their biggest hits ever. Stellar enter the top 50 for the first time with "Marionette" at #41, while BTS aka Bangtan Boys land their biggest hit by far with "Boy In Luv" at #49. It surpasses their previous best "N.O" which made it to #92 last autumn.

Over on the albums chart S.M. THE BALLAD have the #1 album in the country with S.M. The Ballad Vol.2 Breath (Korean Ver.) The Chinese version enters at #4 while the original [sub]good[/sub] S.M. THE BALLAD album shoots up to #29. Meanwhile Bangtan's lucky streak continues as their mini album Skool Luv Affair becomes their highest-charting entry and their third consecutive improvement. It enters at #3 and surpasses the peaks of 2013 releases O,RUL8,2? and 2 Cool 4 Skool which made it to #4 and 5 respectively.

Too tired to do a full write-up this week but #SLAYOU and #JungGiGOD are #1 for a second week while JYP is denied the #1 for what must be the 100th time, as Sunmi clocks in at #2 with "Full Moon", the same position she hit last year with "24 Hours".

Outside the top 10 Park Ji Yoon enters at #12 with "Beep" and #122 with "Inner Space" (crazy big disparity huh?), LADIES' CODE score their 3rd top 20 hit as "So Wonderful" bounds 19 spots to #14 (their second-best charting), while BTOB are new at #18 with "Beep Beep", their best-ever charting. Stellar and Bangtan Boys also hit new career-highs, up to #35 and 45 respectively this week with "Marionette" and "Boy In Luv".

BTOB have the #1 album this week. It's their first chart-topper and 4th top 10.

    This week's chart is in!

    Points of interest

Finally the week we've all been waiting for and Girls' Generation's new single "Mr.Mr." debuts at #1 with, ahead of 2NE1's "Come Back Home" which takes the #2 spot. Debuting with 309k, Girls' Generation had a full week of sales behind them, while 2NE1 had only 3 days. "Come Back Home" opens with 276k, closing the gap with "Mr.Mr." to just over 30k in that time span. "Mr.Mr." is Girls' Generation's 9th #1 single. They also debut the album track "Goodbye" at #10 to bring their top 10 tally to 17.

2NE1 debut 4 songs in this week's top 10, and every track from CRUSH (save the unplugged version of Come Back Home) makes the top 20. This brings 2NE1's total number of top 10 hits to 19.

Meanwhile it looks like #SLAYOU's MelOn trolling wasn't enough to stop either GG or 2NE1 - "Some" falls to fourth place this week, but continues to rack up the sales. It's already the second-best selling single this year.

Over on the albums chart Mr.Mr. debuts at #1. It is Girls' Generation's 9th #1 album. CRUSH, meanwhile, will debut on next week's chart.

There's some other stuff going on outside the top 10 but let's be real no one cares about that right now.

What are the biggest debut week sales of 2014 again? Solid numbers by SNSD (probably better by 2ne1 next week) - with a more focused campaign / product they could've done _really well.
