Welcome to the third edition of the PJ Forum Eurovizh Alt-Song Contest! This contest was previously held in 2018 and 2019 thanks to @NecessaryVoodoo and @constantino respectively. To quote the 2018 thread: Too long have we had to watch as our favourite songs fall at national selections without getting their moments to flop shine. NO MORE! In this alternate dimension version of the world's most popular annual song contest, we'll be pitting the songs that didn't make it to Turin against each other. There's just one rule: countries taking part will have had some sort of competition with multiple songs and acts that the public have had some say in the result of. Thus, we will not be visiting any of the following countries this time: Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Montenegro, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom This Contest will have two parts. All users are welcome to participate in both parts as appropriate. PART I: We need to narrow down the list of entries for each country in the running. If you obsessively watched the national finals this year, or just really love Eurovision and want to listen to more songs, this round is made for you. In the next post, I will list the 28 countries competing in our Contest and their eligible songs. Please PM me with your favorite songs from each list - a maximum of 5 nominations per country. Your first place entry will get 5 points, second place 4, etc. (If you only feel like voting for 1, 2, 3, or 4 songs, the points will still be given as if you had ranked 5 songs.) So that this does not drag on forever, I am proposing a deadline of Sunday, June 12 to receive your scores. PART II: The standard Eurovision voting begins, on our list of 28 alt-songs. Please PM me with your top 10 finalists. The deadline for final votes will tentatively be Tuesday, July 5 Thursday, July 7. I will attempt to add YouTube or Spotify playlists as I find them... Let the Eurovizh Alt-Song Contest 2022 begin!!
