  1. That was…. aggressive. And I also feel like nothing happened all at the same time. Jesus fucking Christ.

  2. /r horror is dragging it and so am I for the most part :( I don’t even know what to say or think so I’ll wait for more people to post their impressions and maybe it’ll help me find what I’m trying to say.

I liked it, then I didn’t? Then I thought it was great, then I thought it sucked. I don’t know.

  3. I don't expect this to get the same love that Halloween 2018 did... but I thought it was pretty good. I'll have to watch a few more times to fully gage my thoughts on it and the story, but first impressions.... it was brutal, entertaining and definitely leaves me wanting to know what will happen next.
  4. The shear fact that I could hit play right now on Peacock but I have tickets tomorrow night.....

  5. Oh my god I get to see this tonight

  6. I have to wait till Sunday - boooo. I'm keeping expectations low in the hope I'll be pleasantly surprised.

  7. This is cute.
  8. I love this.
  9. Rachel in Halloween 4 jumping over fences but never dropping her little clutch bag.

    Queen of identity theft precautions.
  10. I really want to watch Halloween Kills tonight but I kind of want to go to a theater to see it. There’s a drive-in here and they are playing it with The Thing. My mom wants to see it though and my sister who don’t really go to the theaters but they know we have Peacock and want to come over to watch it. I don’t know what to do!

They really truly did show everything in that trailer huh? And sequentially at that!

I need to think about this a little more before posting my thoughts. A real mixed bag.

  12. I’m whelmed. It’s not as bad as critics made it out to be (and ironicallly I thought the 2018 film was nowhere near as good as they made it out to be), but it’s too sequenced and lacks fluidity and better writing. The return of minor characters turns out to be forced fan service, but I quite liked the ending. It feels like there are two mixed movies in one.
  13. I’ve watched it twice and still couldn’t find much to like besides the kills. Hopefully Ends salvages this timeline for me.

Evil, in fact, did not die tonight.

Despite it being said close to 50 times. I know that much.
  15. I enjoyed it, but I... can also see why it's at 43% on Rotten Tomatoes ddd.

The brutality was fun (well, you know what I mean) but aside from that, there was barely any story at all. I remember them saying they were originally going to do 2 films back to back, and then when '18 smashed, it's clear that they turned it into a trilogy instead of just the 2 films to make more money. Which is understandable, but it also means that this one feels rather pointless.

  16. Me reading these reviews and not seeing the film until tomorrow.
  17. Well I loved this a lot. It’s troubling my Top 5 Halloween films.

Thank you, I needed to hear that from you
  20. Honestly... after watching it again, I'm beyond happy with it. It's such a thrill ride from beginning to end and a great entry in the new trilogy. They got the critical praise from Halloween 2018, so this one was more like a horror playground for them to play around in but they got some good story in there as well.

At first, I wished they would have kept the original ending (I read the script after watching the movie) just because it would have been a great ending. But we will get it on the extended cut on the bluray... so I'm happy about that.

I like that they're not keeping Ends on the same night... because Karen's death is a really (sad but) proper note to end the night on. Laurie and Allyson will be out for blood and so will Michael. This was a bloodbath but Ends is going to tear everyone up. So excited!
