Yeah like, adding up the promo for 3 mini albums will probably get you the amount of songs + music videos / singles + performances that a western popstar would do for one traditional album campaign, specially if they are themed trilogies like GFriend and TXT did.
I like this way of thinking. Since it was my complaining exposé that kicked off the the October Charts Payola Scandal, I guess I'm a Best Sub-Forum Mess winner now
I'm sorry, but that's not how it works. Is your name on the award? Didn't think so. To win Best Sub-Forum Mess, you actually have to be messy. All you did was do your best Karen™ impression and complain, that is not messy. Take our winner and our runner up, @Vixen, who over the course of her forum career finessed the blueprint created by @roux, the original messy Orbit. I, following their footsteps, joined @Vixen in her crusade for LOONAtheworld™ domination. It took passion, courage and hard work for us to get this award and we are not letting anyone else claim it for themselves. This was a win for Orbits and LOONA.

2. Losing You - Wonho
3. Tag Me (@Me) - Weeekly
4. Nun Nu Nan Na - cignature
5. Black Mamba - aespa
Yeah, this decimated in the results.
We been knowing this was gonna win so I won't linger too long, but as we should all know by now, STAYC debuted with an expertly professional and polished song, with charismatic and talented girls, and a very pretty and colourful music video; it's the type of song girl groups today would kill to have coz it completely slaps. You know, songs like this, they are stories that people can identify with. You know what I mean? Anybody!--children were singing this song..at graduations, at weddings, at funerals..
Wonho was our direct runner-up which I'm.. kind of surprised a bitsy by? I know the majority of y'all are lil wonhoes but I didn't expect it to get #2 ffff. The song isn't really made for me but it's a nice little Netflixy ballady-pop song.. if "Open Mind" was his debut out of the two though then I'd mayhaps be stanning more... and honestly I think it should've been fff.
In third place is soon-to-be upcoming forum favourites Weeekly, (yes, three E's) who are definitely one of my favourites from the year. The song is classically very cute and playful in presentation, and the song kind of starts off at a 100 in energy and it stays there. Whew! My favourite song of theirs would have to be My Earth though, ah.. one of the best b-sides of 2020 methinks, check that out!!!!
Ahh these girls sing for their lives out randomly all over their discography, there's always like four different beats going, it's aegyo mixed with Diet lite™ brat-pop bhaddie music, colourful music videos with a budget for some lewks... So why don't enough of y'all stan them already?
And in fifth place is our fave lil divisive group at the moment, aespa.
Ummm I'd say I don't mind the song, but I do find it kind of disappointing ffff, like when I compare this song to the rookie nugus that come out this year... well, there's just no level of extra excitement for me attached to this. And also... like what's with their ae-avatars thing like.. I felt like I was promised K/DA teas and I got none of that. However, I will say I'm PERCHED to see what the girlies in this group make with themselves, coz some of them are just absolute hunties behind the scenes of things. I do really like the music video though, the subway carriage with all the overgrown lavender and other plants, and that lil finger point wagging choreo with the camera following... a moment most pleasing to me. Just give me a truly fresh song, girlies!!
It's kinda funny when you think about the fact that Black Mamba is the only "worst debut" that made it to the SOTY rate. Something something you know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation.
I think @hoæux was also joking. An explosive brand of humor that happens when you mix Orbits and Swifties blood. I get shivers down in my back sometimes.
I mean, Open Mind was the ~title track~ that he performed 28743684 times, so that been the debut for all intents and purposes. I don't know what anyone said in the previous page about predebuts.

Yeah, in case it wasn't clear, it was all in jest - much like the possibility of aespa winning Best Debut the same year STAYC debuted with an instant classic.
And finally, my personal worst debut of the year, "DDALALA" by XUM. The song is ass, the chorus is tragic, the mixing is crunchy as fuck, the melodies are stale and the production is demonic. I just know that this is what's on repeat in hell.
I voted for them too kii but for those.... other reasons. The way they completely SHREDDED any goodwill or a chance at full stannage by having one of the most egregious and offensive PR nightmares literally within 48? 24? less?? hours (I can't even remember nn) of debuting ffffff. Like.. how messy is that?
A debut having good enough digitals to get a music show win two months after it came out even without any physical sales to back them up, that's like almost impossible to get, not everybody has that
