The Korean OST Thread

Discussion in 'K-pop' started by andamiro, Nov 8, 2013.

  1. Hey, I decided to start that thread about Drama (and Film I guess) OST songs that probably aren't mentioned in the main discussion thread. I don't really have any text prepared but i'll start by linking a few songs:

Wax - Tears Are Falling (I Miss You OST)

Sunny Hill - Thump Thump (The Greatest Love OST)

Nell - Run (Two Weeks OST)

t Yoon Mi Rae - Touch Love (Master's Sun OST)

Honourable Mention (For a Drama i've never watched)

Taeyeon - I Love You (Athena OST)

  2. A lot of really great songs come from OSTs. I have at least 13 solo JeA songs that are on some soundtrack or other! Also, they're really useful for padding out mini-albums that seem way too short.

I don't really listen to many OSTs, but these are my two favourites of this year:

  4. 3Xs

Snow Flower and Touch Love are two of my favorite songs of the year, ballad or otherwise. Gummy's vocal performance on Snow Flower especially is just masterful.
  5. 3Xs

Would also add Ailee's latest OST. Great, classic chorus.

It also (in news only I care about) recently became her 7th!!! top 10 single on the Gaon charts this year!
  6. I loooooooooove OSTs, especially when I'm watching the drama that they're in. Although after I've done watching the drama it can be hard to listen to some of the songs again haha. I have a massive list of fave osts but here are some in particular.
(From I Hear Your Voice aka the best drama of the year!!!!)

Nobody can deny Baek JiYoung's place on the OST throne

Taeyeon has a lot of great OSTs but this is her best by far

    And just a bunch of others OSTs I really like;
Shin Jae - Tears Are Falling (49 Days OST)
    J-Min - Beautiful Days (School 2013 OST)
Lyn - Back In Time (The Moon Embracing The Sun OST)
Kyuhyun - Way Of Breaking Up (Poseidon OST)
Jisun - What Should I Do? (Boys Over Flowers OST)

There's plenty more OSTs I love but I'd end up making a list far too long for interest. Also I wouldn't be lying if I said the Dream High OST albums is one of my favourites.
