"you can call me Ally!" "I'm not gonna..." scream

I gave this flack for making it this far but it's easily her best ballad either way, huh? Or at least close to it according to most of you, with only Joanne making it as the last ballad standing in the rate, It's also the last remaining A Star Is Born song which means we have just her 5 solo albums left. Evocative, poignant, and bittersweet. Shallow got all the attention in the film but this is quite better and I was happy to see that reflected in the scores. It also received a Song of the Year nom at the Grammys this year somehow? Talent!

not Star is Born snatching consecutive Song of the Year Grammy noms! RJF LOST! @Laura Vanderbooben

Foolish not to release this as a real single. I still feel like it's already a Gaga classic. Relatable lyrics with a simple, beautiful melody. I was mesmerized at the cinema when I saw it for the first time. @Alenko

Adore this. Possibly one of the best intros ever…’That Arizona sky, burning in your eyes. You look at me and babe I wanna catch on fire’ is an amazing lyric. If I ever get married, I would be happy for this to be my first dance. @Ashling92

Fun to sing along with, but I'm still angry it didn't make me cry when I was so ready to. @daninternational

This should’ve been the “Shallow” of the era and I’ll say this until the sun goes down and the band won’t play! @Dijah.

The cinematic drama of this ballad is pitch perfect for me. I use this right next to the best of Gaga’s @GimmeWork

I love the verses but the chorus is a bit too short @jtm

This is literally perfect. What. A. Song. I cannot explain how much I love this song. Don't we all though? I hope so. It goes and should never stop. @Laurence

She proved it way back with "Brown Eyes" that she can write a ballad that sounds like an evergreen and a classic, and does it here again. I hard this on the more than a few times and sounds excellent. Truly amazing chorus, with the crowd sound effect it has even more effect. The delivery is impeccable, of course. I just wish it had some kind of a proper culmination, like "Shallow" does. @Maki

Nothing special but the bridge is lovely and should have been longer. @Petit nain des Îles

I knew I was going to be a sucker for this song from the moment I saw that title. The wistfulness of knowing these are going to be the days of your life; the ones that you inevitably end up looking back to when the present gets rough or underwhelming is very much my sentimental sweet spot. @R27

Absolute magic. There's sunlight in the sheet music to this one; that kind of sunlight a few hours before sunset that has you constantly squinting against it because the sun is low enough to feel like it's everywhere, painting the world in bronze and gold. Y'all know there wasn't much for me to scavenge from A Star Is Born - any part of it, be it movie or soundtrack or the era of gowns, gowns, more beautiful fucking gowns - but it was worth it to hear she had a song like this in her. @RJF

God, her voice on this track. So fantastic. Also the line “It’s buried in my soul/like California gold” is an instant classic. @Seventeen Days

Her best ballad. Well it's definitely up there for me. Blistering delivery and palpable emotion conveyed with some astonishing vocals. The songwriting is also stellar.
Look What I Found - 7 - I really enjoy this. Her voice sounds great as with the whole of this record. It certainly doesn't overstay it's welcome. @sfmartin

Just hit me up. Because this is crazy love. @stradiwhovius

Easily her best ballad (if it counts as a ballad?) Should have been an actual single. @syPOPhantic

Wait - I didn't vote for it! However, my score would've probably been a 7, which wouldn't change the average much.
At least "Stupid Love" would've been at least 12 spots below my first 10 that was eliminated in this rate.

Edit: Just calculated it, and if we included my 7, the 'updated' average score of "Stupid Love" would've been around 6,882 which puts it just above "MANiCURE" in the ranking.

My boyfriend, a known Gaga skeptic, told me he cried to this in a cab thinking about me once. My impact.
