Ddddd thanks for pointing that out. My attention to detail is slipping.
Gonna have my scores in by the end of Monday! Bopping to You Need Me as I type this...
Me when I read this thread title:
Starting my scores on Sunday, with wine.
I can't believe two of her all time masterpieces via Do You Think Of Me and Everything Fades Away were never on the standard edition of Music Box and B-Sides instead. At least a few countries got the later as bonus track on the album I suppose. But still!
I’m re-listening her discography right now for the rate and having a problem with choosing my favourite child between multiple 11s.
I feel your pain. Have so many potential #11s that are all worthy of that honour in their own ways.
It's like, I think I know what my 11 is until I dig into her albums and then maybe a popular single or an understated ballad might take over that place. This is going to be hard AF.
I'll definitely participate! From her early material I mostly know the singles and big songs, so It will be fun getting to know her discography more in depth.
I hope Emotions doesn't end up doing badly seeing as it's easily the most underrated album here if not of Mariah's entire career. A stunning vocal showcase and a solid follow up to the divine debut.
So excited to revel in this legendary woman's catalog (and stan her deepest cuts).
Is this getting split into 2 or 3 parts?
I'm quite glad Rainbow will be included in Part 2, as think it will have more of a chance and not feel the shadow of Butterfly.

I wish she had officially released Help Me Make It. Stunning!
I’m so glad Emancipation and E=MC2 are finally going to be separated so they don’t have to be endlessly compared. Count me in for all 3 parts.
Part 3 I’m super excited for, all four albums are among her best.
omfg i'm doing this
it's just not possible!
Separating Butterfly and Rainbow and Emancipation and E=MC2 are both genius ideas.
(If anyone is keen to rate Caution now, please do come and vote for it in the 2018 R&B Legends rate, which is accepting votes until the 22nd! The link is in my signature.)
I think too separating the albums is a fantastic idea and gives them all more of a chance to shine through.
Would there be any interest in a part 4 with the top ___ from parts 1-3? Not sure if that kinda thing is done often or at all.
It might end up being a bit redundant since we'd be rating the same songs.
edit: Also I'm starting my preliminary listening for this rate today. This will be my first time hearing all of these albums except for Butterfly.
