The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

This concept art of Wanda getting progressively more possessed by the Darkhold is so creepy and brilliant. Shame we didn’t get anything near that in the movie.

We got something like it in the Professor X moment in Wanda's head but it was quick and not as gruesome. They should have used this for that. It would have been more interesting.

Yeah it was so minor and I wish they went for it more. Seeing her become more and more demonic would have been epic. And a nice nod to the comics as she has been possessed before and her appearance changed to match it.

Apparently The Marvels is just 1 hour and 45 minutes.

With it getting the IMAX screens back and no competition from Dune (and much else, apart from the Hunger games) I'm still very interested to see how this does. There doesn't seem like there's a huge amount of hype, but it might do well off the back of being pretty much the only blockbuster in the cinema. I also saw it's getting a simultaneous China release and is being marketed as Captain Marvel 2 over there, I think the first one did reasonably well.

I feel it will the be usual Marvel affair, after reading the director say it’s Feige’s movie in the end. I wonder how difficult it is to work with a unique vision.

The first episode of Loki season 2 was great?! Key Huy Quan is an outstanding addition to the show. I hope he‘s in most of the episodes.

Bloody hell, that was good. I haven’t been that engrossed for ages. I thought the episode was only like 20 minutes long, I couldn’t believe it was double that, it went by in a flash.

I don’t know much about this sort of stuff but the cinematography (if that’s the right word?) was stunning. The way the camera panned so slowly and eerily, and the bland colour palette made it feel so unsettling. I genuinely didn’t know what could happen, it felt like the stakes were actually high. It really creeped me out, what a fantastic episode.

With Loki time slipping, was he always slipping to the future each time, ie the same exact time, or was he going all over the place?

When he realised he went into the future, was this the same time where Morbius and co didn’t recognise him, therefore implying that the TVA will be reset and everybody wiped (again)?

He went into the past in the first time (i think) !

Episode 1 was okay but I have a few annoyances with Loki as a series

The Loki we see in the show is not the same Loki as in the Battle of New York, isn't as though they skipped straight to the more recent Loki without recognising that it shouldn't be the same.

Isn't so confusing, I still don't understand what's going on half the time.

I love the set pieces though, the production is gorgeous.

Pre-sales for The Marvels are awful, and it's tracking to open in line with The Flash.

Big eek. It could realistically be the MCU's lowest opening ever, even under The Incredible Hulk at $55M, back in 2008.

I really hope that doesn't happen. This movie is already guarantee to attract nothing but a cesspool of hate from the usual crowds. The tracking forecast is $50-$75M so hopefully it edges to the upper end of that at least.

Early tracking is usually quite a bit lower than how things end up, so it should do better than The Flash, but it’s still not looking good. I’m surprised they didn’t give us a newer more exciting trailer.

I honestly think for one, not calling it Captain Marvel 2 was a mistake.

Seeing how bad Secret Invasion turned out, I will not be surprised if The Marvels turns out the same. Im really shocked at how Disney has dropped the ball.

There's got to be some...questions right? Like the movie line up to Kang/Secret Wars is looking pretty meh and this year has been really rough outside of Guardians (made by the guy whose moved to DC).
