Yeah. But I own the albums which doesnot have them and I do not recall them hearing on the Dutch radio or TV aside from Scandalous.
Well, the album version of Why is the one that just left us and you were the lowest scorer for that too... so what is the truth?

(Also, I’d never heard a lot of these remixes either, including the B With Me single edit.)

So we jump straight from a below 9 average straight to a 9.5. The follow up to the debut single (and first with the new lineup) was a huge hit for them, going straight in at number 2 in the UK charts (their joint biggest hit). As much as this is a solid 10, I absolutely am in love with the extended Sunship remix, Alesha's extra 8 bars really elevate the song for me. I also love the video for this one, especially with the remix breakdown midway through the song. "I just had a really weird daydream...".

@Sprockrooster (8) "After two duds this brings life back on the album."

@JMRGBY88 (10) "a bop. Anyone else notice how similar the choruses are for this and B With Me though?" I don't honestly. They both have the Garage sound but I don't think they sound similar at all.

@Filippa (6) "Somehow uninspired despite of the somehow driving rhythm." Erm....

@londonrain (10) "I feel like this is the most underrated Mis-teeq single. A huge bop, with Alesha on peak form. Does Alesha say “Enter!” at the end? For years I thought it was “It’s hot!”" She does say enter.

And to finish up let's go to our 11 givers:

@Robert (11) "This is the first Mis-Teeq single I remember hearing and subsequently buying. It felt different to other girl bands at the time and what had gone before. I loved the garage feel and Alesha’s opening line and her rap is everything. They did some fantastic songs with Stargate and Scandalous in particular is amazing. But I feel All I Want sums up what made Mis-Teeq unique and I greatly prefer their Sunship/Garage stuff to their R&B." I prefer the Garage sound for them as well.

@berserkboi (11) "I can’t believe the quality and consistency of their singles discography! Throwing my support behind this one!" Well she got to the top 3 so she did well.

@Iggypig (11) "Aaah, takes me back to the summer of 2001. If Sweet Female Attitude were to have followed up Flowers with this......they might have lasted a bit longer. Quite possibly, the best girl group single of 2001, just so frenetic and fun, a worthy 11." Best girl group single of 2001? Poor Soul Sound.

So One Night Stand is pipped to the post by their biggest hit which kind of makes sense, even if I was hoping for a different outcome. Released as their 3rd single, and the single that launched their debut album, One Night Stand made the top 5 of the UK charts on release. It was also released as a single in the US (in a slightly remixed form), following Scandalous reaching the top 40 over there. I love that the video features both versions of the song, breaking out into the Sunship Radio Edit before the end of the video. The US video stands on it's own though, they look like superstars in it!

@tylerc904 (10) "What an opener. Sensations! Vibrations!"

@JMRGBY88 (10) "a stone cold bop." Tea.

@berserkboi (9.8) " Not the best version but still such a magnificent earworm! Edit – actually listening to the other version again – this might be it!"

@Iggypig (10) "If I could, I would have given my 11 to the video version of this song which was released on the Be With Me single, and it was really hard choosing between this and my actual 11. 2001 was a great year for pop music, all of pops big players were present and girl group wise it was Atomic Kitten and Mis-Teeq that reigned supreme. I love this song and play it constantly, I've never tired of it." I remember Frankensteining a version of the Brits performance using the B With Me CD single and a cassette tape recording. I managed to get it perfectly!

@Filippa (9) "Love that instrumental melody line in the beginning that can be heard in the chorus again which makes the chorus even more powerful."

@Untouchable Ace (10) "Another example of their iconiqueness."

@Remorque (10) "I never expected this one to take me back the way it does. It was one of their more R&B leaning songs from the Lickin' On Both Sides era and I still love it. I love Alesha's rap here followed by Sabrina's middle 8. Poor Su-Elise though. We had to wait for the Sunship Radio Edit to be able to hear her line..." The Sunship version does get rid of Alesha's "time to get down" ad-libs though which is a shame.

Closing out with the 2 11 givers:

@Robsolete (11) ''As a fan of one night stands, both in the traditional sense and the Mis-teeq sense, this has always been that relatable bop. I was torn between this, Scandalous and Why? for my 11, and while I stan those songs as well (like anyone with taste) I always feel like this never gets quite the same amount of attention? This was always on my getting ready playlist when I first started going out at 17 and it always got me popping off, and it still does exactly the same all these years later. A bop for the ages.''

@londonrain (11) "So many contenders in this discography but this is the song I always think of when I think of Mis-Teeq. “High class, nice ass”... the only way this could be more iconic is if they did this in a Liverpool accent. IMAGINE a girl group going “High class, nice arse...”" "Spend your money but I've got my own carsh?"

So this is obviously quite a predictable winner. I thought that maybe it would get lots of 10's but that it wouldn't actually be anyone's favourite Mis-Teeq song. And then the first 3 ballots came in and Scandalous was the 11 for all 3 of them, kii. Imagine a song with a low score of 9... Aside from @londonrain and I, every other voter gave this a 10 or more. I don't dislike it by any means, I should make that clear. I am glad that Mis-Teeq, a girl group so dear to me, have such a well known song so they're not just forgotten but I love lots of their songs more than this. Plus it's not the UK Garage sound that made them stand out so much from their contemporaries. But still, a hit is a hit and this reached number 2 in the UK charts and 35 on the Billboard Hot 100, a feat not matched by that many UK girl groups ever! I'll hand over to y'all for your commentary because I am very tired ddd.

@JMRGBY88 (10) "One of the best songs of the 2000s."

@berserkboi (10) "Their biggest success for a reason!" I guess...

@Iggypig (10) "One of the best songs of 2003....it was kinda a shame that everything that followed it went slightly downhill."

@Filippa (10) "What a strong song!"

@londonrain (9) "I was rooting for this to win the Flop Girl Groups rate @DJHazey ran some time ago. It’s possibly the least garage of all their singles but it’s their biggest US hit for a reason. Sabrina absolutely owns this one." Flop girl groups? My poor heart!

@Ana Raquel (10) "Kinda anticlimatic here, but Scandalous is, indeed, their best song. No competition." It's very anticlimactic but I can't argue with these scores.

To close the commentary we hand over to our 11 bestowers:

@tylerc904 (11) "Timeless. An actual classic. This was playing when I got in my first car accident, the iconicness of it all."
Glad you're okay!

@Sprockrooster (11) "This song is out of this world. It is sassy and has probably one of the best beats ever. Girls are selling the song to absolute perfection. An 11 without little hesitation. No shade to the rest of their discography, but a true statement of the quality of this song."

@Untouchable Ace (11) "It just had to be this. Mis Teeq ARE 'Scandalous'. They have never done better and few have done better by the way."

Also @HollyDunnSomething - to answer your question - Why finished at #23 in the Girl Band Debut Rate, which although missing the Top 20 isn't a bad result when looking at such a range of debuts!

Scandalous finished #8 in the Signature one, which was even better! But I agree with both @londonrain and you, Mis-Teeq are not even a Flop Girl Band by Australian standards, they had a fairly similar reception down under as Sugababes. Fun(ny) fact is that Girls Aloud are more likely to be seen as Flop from us, also a flop opinion! LOL

Maybe @DJHazey had them in his rate as they were flops by American standards where Scandalous was their only hit?
