The votes are in and have been counted and verified. We finished with a total of 15 voters which isn't many but better than the 3 I had for a long time. Eliminations begin soon (potentially today but more likely tomorrow).
15 is a lot more than a feared the rate may get, so that’s good news! I’m looking forward to seeing the results. It’ll be interesting to see how the different versions of the same song do against each other too.

That said, it's a fair first elimination. That was one of my three lowest scores in the rate, the other two being another song from Lickin' on both Sides and an extra.

Speaking of Lickin' on Both Sides, does that expression actually mean anything? All I've gathered is "licking both sides of the stamp" means being bisexual, but I doubt that's what they were going for (or was it?). I always thought it was an odd choice for an album title, as it's sounds a bit overly sexual, and Mis-Teeq's lyrics were generally fairly tame.

I’ll have you know I only handed out two zeroes in the whole rate (including the one we’ve just lost) and my next lowest score is a 2.
I'm sure I remember interviews at the time where they said it was to do with the fact that they were a fairly even mix of R&B and pop aka lickin' on both sides. I'm sure it's also probably just a name they came up with that they thought was cool and made up an explanation though ddd.
And that's the worst song on the debut, so bye.
