Okay Ms. Projection with the Your Best American Girl lyrics! Ddd. I do very dearly love the song though, Mitski managed to blow my mind and I haven't let go since.

Learning about how Geyser's release was about 4 years in the making since the first few times it was performed really peaked my interest when I found that out. Sitting on a masterpiece for years! But I'm sure that the wait was needed to have it ultimately become the song we love today.

Your Best American Girl is definitely the song that kicked Mitski into mainstream consciousness, probably the most symbolic of Mitski brand so I can’t be too mad with it winning.

A brilliant rate @fatyoshi. Sorry for my engagement with the rate itself being very minimal nn. But the thing with artists like Mitski is that they never released truly bad materials or cause any drama, and me being an entity that thrives on negativity there’s not much for me to talk about?! Jokes aside, I enjoyed reading up your write ups and gain more insight into each songs. Well done!

Thanks for all your work @fatyoshi . Great rate- I only knew two of her albums prior to this and really enjoyed getting to know her work.

Great result- I think I was fairly confident that 'Your Best American Girl' would always win. That song is just undeniable. It's powerful in every possible way- melodically, lyrically, production-wise. It's a real monster in her discography, in the best possible sense.

I'm not so thrilled about the domination of 'Be The Cowboy', which I think is somewhat overrated but hey ho- it's her poppiest and this is "popjustice" right?! And to be fair, "Two Slow Dancers" and "Washing Machine Heart" are both great!

Even though I scored Geyser half a point higher, i'm really satisfied that a non-Cowboy song pulled off the win in the end! Thank you so much @fatyoshi, what a perfectly run rate!

WHEEEEEEEEEWWWWWW!! Well done @fatyoshi with the rate, it was honestly fun and beautiful. Every write up was a MOMENT and you digged the best! Upset I missed the last days cuz life went crazy but I guess that's how it goes.

I'm still not over how great her discography is. Of course there's Strawberry Blond & Goobye, My Danish Sweetheart but that's just nothing close to the highs of Geyser, Your Best American Girl, Because Dreaming Costs Money, My Dear.... Don't really have the words to articulate. But I guess it's something you're born with. The strengths of being a singer, songwriter, musician and painting such a vivid image through music.
