This rate will have a lot of sentimental attachment. Her singles were like a soundtrack to life until 2009
I'm Like a Bird, Radio and Turn Off the Lights came at a time when I was a young 13 year old and was utterly fascinated by this oddball voice who had odd lyrics but wonderful uplifting pop anthems. These 3 songs were on heavy rotation on MTV
Then Explode was my teen angst anthem which I overplayed when I was 16 with just a crappy MP3 player
Then the Loose songs where from my college days and were the soundtrack to heavy partying
Don't speak to me about what happened after that. This rate will be full of 10s and 0s

Oh don't get me wrong, 'Try' is incredible but 'Say It Right' exists on its own plane entirely.

I included the others because they were on her Best Of album. Plus, people have already started sending me their votes so I'd say it's a bit too late anyway. Sorry!

Fair enough! I really don't mind if it isn't there, its' not in my top for sure, it was more for the sake of completeness.

The list is definitely not complete, there are some other songs missing like "Morning After Dark", "Hot-n-Fun", "Is Anybody Out There?", "Jump" etc. but I think / hope the most important ones are on it.

This thread made me revisit her debut album for the first time in forever and I definitely underestimated it when it came out. There's so much personality and variety on it and she really manages to shift between different genres so effortlessly.
