The NOW Rate: Volumes 1-9 *NUMBER 9-6 REVEALED*

Now 59 was the first one I got previously I only had the Now Dance series and in 2004 I asked for Now Dance 2005 for Christmas and got Now 59 instead I've never been so grateful all because of a mistake.

All the best Dance of 2004 is on NOW 59, especially on Disc 2!

And 2014, you don't wanna hear the Radio Countdown, it was a total mess. xx

I think my bottom four were 5, 7, 8 and 9. 5 has a better tracklisting than I gave it credit for at the time. I suppose because it came out in the summer holidays, I didn't get to "enjoy" it with my classmates at school, like we did with 4, 6, 7 and 8.

My problem with the artwork these days is that it looks computer-designed. Take a look at Now 24 - that looks like a real, shiny, big blocky thing floating up in the clouds. It's like a photo. The last 30+ covers have looked like cartoon versions to me.

Was just having a look at the NOW website. I already thought the brand was being wrecking but my god what on earth had happened in the last 3 or 4 years? Now that's what I call Britain? Now that's what I call feel good? Now that's what I call Disney Princess? WTF?

Hideous.

Yet people will still be buying NOW 100 when it arrives.

That's probably because Sony bought out EMI and thus the rights to the NOW brand. It's a regrettable development.

And I totally agree about the "cartoonish" designs these days, thanks to digital software.

The NOW brand is awful these days. All those spin-offs are just lame. I follow NOW on Facebook and the people who comment on their posts just seem like a load of stupid hicks (same goes for Prisoner Cell Block H which I also follow - maybe it's just that people in general are stupid!).

Glad i'm not the only one. NOW 24 was my first CD purchase of a NOW. It's such a great cover. Most of the 20s have great covers, but 24 is the best. 20 is pretty good too, and 21 I like because of the 'daring' angle used!

I must protest RE: the Spin-Off situation. The NOW label is actually it's own, with Sony owning rights on the name. They release Spin-Offs to fund the NOW Label and the main NOWs.

Although, some of these Spin-Offs are quite terrible. You just have to look at NOW Rock & NOW 21st Century to see they've lost touch with NOW fans from the 80's/90's/00's

HANG ON. Now 4 is already out?? That's my favourite.

Really? I guess someone has to love it.

But, the countdown continues in 55 minutes! Also, for NOWs 10-19, should I do a new thread or just stick with this one?

New thread may be better? And I think I like it just for Ghostbusters to be honest...

ALRIGHT! Picking up from last night let's get into your top 5! BUT FIRST, Let's have a look at the Spin-Offs released in between these NOWs!!

Yes, even in the 1980's, NOW decided to release a few Spin-Offs from the main series and the first was:

Now+That%27s+What+I+Call+Music+-+The+Summer+Album+-+DOUBLE+LP-519993.jpg

The original NOW Summer album was very unique as it included TWO Beatles songs (All You Need is Love & Here Comes the Sun). This is very rare due to licensing issues with the Apple Music company! It is also one of the rare times NOW Music added songs to a Spin-Off pre-1983!

Tracklisting:
