The Real Housewives of Atlanta (S16)

We're only 3 episodes in but this is definitely a much welcomed refresher after the absolutely dire last season. I have no idea how the Brit/Kenya relationship will manage to turn so sour in just two (or three, knowing how much Bravo loves to stretch out stuff) episodes considering the two seemed to be cool during the OI Foundation event.
It's because this is all in Brit's head. I truly don't think Kenya has an issue with her. With Kenya, you 100% know if she has an issue with someone. She won't let them rest for a second.
I think the bigger fumble for Porsha is knowing the comments Brit has made against Shamea’s child and still choosing to spend time with her. The social media post was 100% a jab. People make jokes about Shamea’s loyalty but there’s no way she’d give Brit the time of day if she said something about Pilar.
I do think Porsha is fumbling all the good will she build with the audience. She's mad Shamea isn't loyal and she's literally feuding with Angela because she was trying to defend Porsha. What the hell does she want?! And when even Kelli, her closest friend, has dumped her, it seems insane to align with Brit.

He/him
I find Angela grating, hoping "I'm married to Charles Oakley" won't be her shtick for the entire season. She seriously reminds me of Sheree, just not as messy... And apparently Sheree used to date Charles too nn?

Double post but I wish Bravo would foster a better relationship with the OG’s and feature them as friends just like they do on Miami, maybe then they wouldn’t be so offended at the idea of taking that option. Marysol, Kiki and Adrianna are featured like full-timers, sit in for the entire reunion and share personal stories.

I think Shereé would be perfect in a Marysol/Adrianna type of role, alongside Mother Cynthia.

Bring on the Bailey-Q!
We get one this season!

I was really struggling this with season, if I’m honest. From that abhorrent trailer to the discount budget confessionals. Pretty much every scene from the first three episodes was just not clicking at all…. until that Balmain event. Everything just kind of fell into place with Shamea’s LaToya Jackson dig, and Porsha’s subsequent ‘heehee’. I think I’m in girls, I think I may be enjoying myself.

Gotta say, I’m really enjoying this. So many great characters, funny moments and light shade that only Atlanta can do.

I’m also pretty sold on Kelli and Angela. Kelli has a great personal story, she’s fun and gets bonus points for going in on Porsha on day one. Angela’s little back and forth with Shamea was hilarious and I think she’ll really come alive over the course of a season. Porsha’s “heehee!” made me scream.

Feel like we need to see more of Brit as right now it feels like Mia Thornton fake boss territory but I could be wrong! Plus, it seems like production are setting things up so that she is the one who wants an issue with Kenya.

Its working for me as well, and I honestly didn't expect it at all. Angela's feeling a little forced and dry but Kelli and Brit have a firm presence, Shamea is soaring and Porsha's car crash life holds center stage.

And we have Drew there too.

With the newbies hitting the ground well, drama coming in hot and some good jokes / shade, its been a pretty good start and its only real failing is just not enough OGs to ground things.

Hmm….Angela forced but Britt has a firm presence?

I’ll give you Kelli but that’s an interesting opinion sis

I love Angela nn, fucking stunning woman and I thought her awkwardly laughing at Shamea getting heated last week was a scream. The man is a mess but I won't hold that against her yet!

The season is clicking for me girls. While it's very apparent that Kenya was meant to be a perspective in this first half the presence cannot be denied, her charisma still jumps through the screen. Kelli came together this episode, I found her recounting of the story with her daughter really affecting and I'm interested in how she does in conflict.

Drew remains such a loser and I live for it. The cast needs someone like Porsha/Kenya for her to work in the dynamic and thankfully they're both present in some capacity.

"Don't pull her hair, Brooklyn. It might slide off." Kenya is so wrong for that but I laughed. This season is very fun so far. I will say the two new husbands are... I know it takes a while to adjust to cameras and they both seem like they're not naturals, but my god, could they at least pretend to enjoy being around their wives?

She / Her
I really don't like one of the new girls but I can't yet tell which one is which.

This week's episode marked a return to me fast forwarding through Drew's marriage scenes which makes me feel that things are looking grim for the season.
