The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (S14)

Was Kyle upset at the potential embarrassment from her daughters because she’s a lesbian or because it’s implied she is? I don’t understand her.

I thought the premiere would be boring based on the previews released, but they actually held back a lot. It was more impressive than I expected. Dorit gave a masterclass on how to turn things around as a housewife. Every scene of hers was so compelling and despite the complaints that she's long winded, she made sure to hit her key points in every scene.

I thought it was so interesting to see Erika in the middle of Kyle and Dorit. We haven't really seen that from her and it was interesting to see her try to navigate it. Another big shock was how bad Kyle came off in the confrontation with Dorit. Using that WWHL episode as the reason she pulled away from Dorit was clearly a lie and even if we believe it to be true, incredibly immature.

Dorit vs Kyle will carry the season, but everybody delivered in this episode. The chemistry as a whole was good and Jennifer Tilly and Boz were both excellent additions. Both feel like real rich women and not the housewives standard of rich women. I love that both maintained their natural style and didn't seem intimidated in the group. Sutton and Garcelle continue to be great additions as well and Kathy seems like she'll slide back in seamlessly.

I literally have no notes and no complaints. This premiere blew by and I can't wait to see what is coming next. Last season felt like a chore to watch but this looks fun.

I'm definitely not team Kyle but her talking about opening up to her daughters about exploring her sexuality really got to me. I feel for her and am glad she got that support from her family - we all have gone through something similar and to figure that out in your 50s, on national TV, and while going through a separation... it's not easy!

That said, the scene being cut short by Dorit giving her English evil witch "HELLOOOO!!" also sent me. You could see the fear in Kyle's eyes. Get her, Dorit!
