Since I'm here, having only caught up on the season yesterday, I will do my full rundown of the cast from worst to best:
Danielle - She either runs away from conflict or gets aggressive. Sure she has charisma and looks good on camera but she has nothing else going for her, aside from being a liability to production at this point with her inability to actually engage in drama as a housewife. She even ruined Margaret's funeral flower moment with her awful confessional about it. I hope she goes, and I am hopeful that she will with her attempting to physically attack Jen again fresh off a suspension and internal investigation into her conduct.
Melissa - She had no conflict this season, and she seemed to realize it at the finale with how chirpy she was being. I generally like her and have enjoyed the Melissa era, but it feels more over than it ever has for her. It's time to move on.
Rachel - Teresa was sounding pretty terrible in the finale during her spat with Rachel but she was completely unable to capitalize, instead just jumping to name-calling. Being able to spar with Teresa shouldn't be such a high bar but Rachel sure makes it look that way! I do like her dynamic with Fessler though. I would not be sad at all if she left but I also wouldn't be mad if she somehow stuck around.
Dolores - She is legitimately the stupidest person on this cast. Holding Margaret accountable and getting furious at her on one of the rare ocassions where Margaret was clearly telling the truth was a scream. Her diplomatic nature is good for the overall dynamic, thoguh I just wish she wasn't such a bonehead about things. She needs to be pushed more because there's a complex character beyond Switzerland in there but the walls are always up.
Teresa - She's still a great housewife and will always be a great housewife but Louie is just so miring for her. I fear that she will never be able to move on with the other women while he is around.
Jen - The Danielle work was sloppy but it still produced results! She had a strong finale too, and even if this was maybe a weaker season from her she still feels essential. I do not care at all about the blogger drama.
Margaret - It was nice to see her more activated in a fun way. Thank you, Jackie! She is still evil, a liar, and a massive hypocrite, but at least it felt more fun this season. She'd be more fun without so much back-up, because I think she gets too comfortable when she has three or four girls she can hole up with and gossip to.
Fessler - Icon. I love her wishy-washy ways and her constant juggling act. Every scene was better if she was in it.
Jackie - The STAR of the season! And it's easy to tell because everybody was constantly talking about her, even when she would barely appear in the episodes. Was she particularly graceful about her maneuverings? No. Was she playing well strategically? No. But all of that just made everything more messy and therefore entertaining! Like with Fessler, every scene was better if she was in it. I hope this isn't her last season but if it is, it's been an amazing run.
