The Real Housewives of New Jersey (S14)

I’m reading Not All Diamonds and Rosé, and I will never understand the production company’s fascination with Dina Manzo. The way they say they essentially cast the entire show around her and were confident she would become a huge star, with even Carlos King saying he thinks she’d be considered “one of the greats” if she hadn’t quit… I just don’t see it. I always found her perfectly fine but also extremely forgettable???

Being real, Danielle over shadowed them all in S1... and then whatever she tried to do to Dina behind the scenes (was it reporting her to child services) took everything out her sails, and she did not recover (I haven't seen her return).

The word on the street (Twitter) is they're letting the cast know tomorrow what's happening regarding their future.

I wonder what choice has been made. A full reboot? A spin-off for Teresa and that husband? A partial reboot?

Hmm if this is true. I’m not surprised Bravo wants to stay in business with Teresa and Melissa. It would certainly make sense to give Teresa an off-ramp with a spinoff, while keeping some familiarity with RHONJ with Melissa and Dolores. I’m sure they’re abrehensive to start completely new given the reception to the RHONY reboot. I know Dolores catches a bad rep here at times, but after seeing her on The Traitors, the thought of having her off my screen permanently is too much to bear.

I’m sure a calculation in this is to also purge the show of anyone with deep connections to bloggers/a history of leaking information, hence the chop for both Margaret and Jennifer.

I think they know a Melissa spin-off would bomb, hence why she's being kept on the show.

It's clear that Bravo (and Andy especially) like Melissa and Joe. For all their faults, they seem like they're nice to work with and aren't a living hell for producers.

Everyone and their grandmother knows Teresa is a star, so it's interesting to see they might go ahead without her. I imagine Luis is a massive headache for them and is probably what's causing them to be hesitant. He's unpredictable and a big part of why the show became unbearable for the cast. It's much easier to keep them in the fold and give them their own show, which I think will be fairly successful.

It's sad to think we'll no longer have Jen and Marge, they're essentially the same person in terms of how they operate but it's clear, as mentioned above, just how affiliated they are with bloggers/leaks and that can't go on as it contributes to the toxicity that ended everything in the first place.

To me, it's obvious that Dolores wasn't going anywhere. Yes, she straddles the fence but she's a big fan favourite and keeps the group grounded. She had to come back. I just hope Jen Fessler gets a shot as well!

The tweet actually doesn’t mention Jen as being out along with the others, which is strange.

I personally don’t want either of these shows but if I was to pick I’d actually rather see a Teresa spinoff. NJ Housewives feels dead in the water and I get that this is their way of doing a soft reboot but I actually think they should sunset it in favor of other cities. Like, snooze.

I've always believed Dolores cannot stand Melissa behind closed doors...

I felt, eapecially the Traitors Catsing, Dolores would be high on the list to return
