I’m picking up my watch of OC after leaving it for several months and I’m on season 5. I couldn’t really distinguish who was who in the first 4 seasons, aside from Vicki and Jo, although that’s mostly because I wasn’t really paying much attention.

Are there any fairly unanimously agreed top seasons?

I think it’s basically “the Heather Dubrow” years or when Shannon joins where things get really good.

7 through 11
so yeah Heather Dubrow years are top tier

7-11 and 14 are top tier. 12 has its moments including their iconic Quiet Woman episode, but overall is disjointed

Also the season 6 finale and reunion is iconic television and what really started the shift in OC to the Housewives people are more accustomed to today.Tamra instigated the change in season 3 but she really shifted that gear with a wine glass, a cyst and deceased and a prayer.

I agree that 7-11 + 14 are the absolute best seasons but I have such a soft spot for Tamra's gradual ascent to most valuable housewife from Season 4-6. The long term strategizing, constantly going as low as possible, bullying basically everyone if she had even a morsel to justify it, it's the sort of aspirational television I live for.

I know Andy said the lack of promo is intentional because they don’t “need” it, but im a little worried. They haven’t been promoting it at all and the trailer didn’t show much.

I’m super excited for their return so I hope viewers still know to tune in! I want strong ratings because I have a feeling this season is going to be great!

As it relates to promo/ratings, it definitely doesn’t hurt that the premiere airs the same night as part 3 of the VPR reunion - hopefully a decent number of their 2M+ live viewers decide to turn on Bravo an hour early that night.

Gretchen was great until Slade, I'd still take her back though.

I quite like Gretchen’s unfiltered, tacky confessionals of laughing and saying she’ll just smack Tamra ddddd.

Tamra definitely puts in the work as well. Dare I say I’m enjoying the cast now!
