The Real Housewives of Potomac (S9)

I have hope for this season after watching that. There’s something about Karen and Gizelle’s relationship that is engaging and, whether they were right or wrong for what they said to Mia, there was something almost formidable about the two of them at the end of the table, arguing on the same side.
This is Gizelle at her best, moving things forward/ setting things up and still being messy (instead of being evil).
I do think this season may belong to Wendy- she’s never been a favourite but I really enjoyed her this episode. I missed Keiarna but then remembered she wasn’t announced until after the season had started filming.

Are we back? Are we really back??

Great opener, I'm excited.

Hmm, I don’t know girls. I was getting strong Atlanta season 14 vibes. I appreciate the fresh faces, but it was a pretty bland episode.

This also may have broken a record for highest amount of hideous confessional looks in a single episode.

I don’t know… the entire episode was giving low budget. The dui “reenactment” was unnecessary. And Mia making her son’s praternity a storyline feels so gross - possibly a new low for the series.

This was a pretty good start and I didn't miss Robyn or Candiace at all.

Stacey had potential, she's giving me early Kenya vibes given how insincere she is and willing to push the producer agenda to make a good show. Mia has really elevated to Reality TV God tier levels with her life being an utter car crash and her being quite willing to show how bad it all is with no shame.

Oh I thought the episode was stellar. There's a freshness to the dynamic, Karen and Gizelle together will always work and I screamed at 'you can read'. Between that and 'as long as it takes the wills of justice to PREVAIL!' Ms. Huger remains at the top of her game.

Stacy immediately has presence while feeling a little rehearsed so I'm curious to see how she plays ball. I was a little surprised we didn't get Kiearna in this episode but I imagine she'll be introduced as a main next week. I don't know, maybe I'm just ready for Potomac to be back in its rightful position at the top of the franchise.

Agree about Stacey, she does have presence but also feels rehearsed- I actually thought Jassi felt fresher but obviously they felt she didn’t fully deliver as Keiarna took her flute after a few weeks of filming.

He/They
That Hat Party at the end had such a solid group around that table, with K getting thrown back into the mix in a couple of weeks, I'm excited where this Season will go.

It's not lost on anyone that Gizelle called out Mia's need to protect her children and her overaction, is hilarious considering she's using her son's paternity as a storyline on the show. Awful mess.
